Normally, I would agree with you. I'm not a big fan of installing consoles in arcade cabs, but my idealism is tempered by necessity. The truth is, the Dreamcast and Naomi games are virtually identical in most cases, and it makes more sense to use the Dreamcast games I have rather than spend tons of money on the Naomi versions. I do understand where you're coming from, though.

iE JPAC maybe, I'm using a PS3 with console adaptor no pad hacking required, it's awesome Ultra Street a Fighter 4, wonder if this will work with Dreamcast

dreamcast identical near with naomi, thats right. but if there are no real differences, sega had can use the dreamcast self in there arcade cabs, ore use and sell the naomi modded as home console, back in time. for me as collector i spend better 5 times more money for a naomi game, before i use the dremcast. but this is just my thinking. ofcourse i respect your thinking and doing, i say only that this is nothing for me...

btw how much did you pay for your connectors and metalpins, cause you said that they are cheap^^ i was lucky enough to find one seller in germany who sell these parts and although he really is a nice guy, he asks 12€ for 10 male and 10 female pins and around 15€ for couple of different plastic connectors =/ i needed like 50 metalpins and only male and female connectors for p1 and p2, so i contacted him but i still paid like 40€ or 50€ for all of it i think^^

i would never understand, why people install consoles in arcade cabs!? consoles are to play at tv with arcade controller if you want. but arcade cabs are made to play arcade hardware. look at this wire mess!!! nothing for me, sorry!

Maybe because it’s hard to find arcade pcb versions of some games that were released in stores? Loads of fighting games released on Saturn makes me want to do this for my candy cab.
