Installing a GIVI rack on Honda Rebel 500 | SR1160

I bought the same rack new and it was a bugger to fit , when you take out the bolts your back fender will move and the holes won’t line up, I took one bolt out ever side and fitted the new longer bolts in , only to find they won’t go in the threads so I had to tap & die new threads in , then put one bolt in each side first then take out the remaining 2 bolts & tap & die them , then put in the longer bolts , but it’s a nice quality rack that matches the mat black paint , my bike is a year old rebel cmx 500 in red and I am glad I bought it to replace my virago 750 .

just straighten the mounts on the trunk and it will fit snugly

im off to france next year on my reb 1100 newhaven to deippe very cheep with cabbin then the south of france with euro camp very cheep for 4 of us
