Installing the Coffman's Thunder Exhaust on the Rebel 1100T

Im not sure what you mean by gasket. I didnt see one on the coffman, there is a silver ish piece on the pipe that wasnt there on the 500 i did own. (Have the 1100 now)

@@Taos87 That silver piece is the gasket. I read on forums that on the 500s they come off fairly easy when removing the stock exhaust. On the 1100 it’s a hit or miss. If that silverish piece is stuck on the pipe, just get a box cutter to it and peel it off. Otherwise the aftermarket pipe won’t fit flush

@HondaFanboy35 thanks, ended up figuring the silver piece had to be the gasket. Staring at my new 1100 trying to figure out how to pry it off. I'll try a thin knife or a rubber pull wrench tomorrow. Thanks for reply

I think if you run your bike for a couple minutes, the heat helps when taking a knife or cutter to it.
