Hey! Thanks again for the great videos, especially the DIY ones. I found a used Magma kettle last year for $80 with the pole bracket and it was flimsy so I never used it and was trying to sell it. I decided after watching your vids to get the flush bracket like this one and mounted just like you did and it’s great! The only is to find a way to hang the hot top off the side of the kettle. Next up, the windlass like you have. Gracias!

Hi OOTR, your Magna Grill looks like a lot better quality than the Magna's from the 1980's and 1990's... I went through 3 of them, then stopped buying them; they rusted and corroded in a short time.... One important tip you gave us in your other videos is to use the grill as a stove, and to not cook directly on the grill surface. Your tips on using skillet and pots and pans is a great idea that I didn't use before....
@OutOnTheReef4 жыл бұрын
Yes not using the grill and placing a stove or Skillet will make your magma last longer and I believe they're making better quality material now but the accessories are no good I do not recommend them but the grill is a high-quality the one I have is the magma Kettle 3 is a little bit more expensive but it's a better quality I had this one for over four years and I use it a lot

Hey Captain! I hope all is well. I just purchased one of these grills but noticed yours has the igniter. Unfortunately mine doesn’t. Hope that isn’t an issue lighting this. Do you ever cook directly in the grill or do you always use the pan? Which I am ordering that pan you use.
@OutOnTheReef2 жыл бұрын
hello cap . Sorry to hear that if you have use my link you would got the one with the igniter is much better and worse the extra money, hope you like yours cap, have a awesome day Jonh

Hey, just an FYI... If you open up the grill, under the grate you can unscrew the burner and adjust the grill belly so it faces forward. It has notches and you can re-align it. -Magma Sales Rep

Great Vid! what size hole saw was that? 1" diameter? Do you think the flush mount holder is a better option than the rod holder they have?
@OutOnTheReef3 жыл бұрын
I don't remember the size of the hole but I like the fixed-mount better because extends out of the boat and no oil spills inside the boat
@cheapme18502 жыл бұрын
I know this is old but the drill hole saw is 1 1/8” for the mount I recently bought. Also, I used 1/4 x 2” round head screws for the mount.

Do you leave the grill and propane attached when you trailer your boat? Also, I saw in other videos, you have what looks like a nonstick pan with the handle taken off, how do you keep it in place in rough seas?

Hello, Could you write any gas cylinders you are using because I have an identical grill and I cannot match the gas cylinders, they are all too small when it comes to the thread to screw in

Honestly I would've thought that the bracket for the grill just fit inside the rod holders u already have . I know it's best to have grill angled over the side , just seems that's just having a certain angle on the bracket to achieve that.

That’s how I mounted mine. Fits securely in existing rod holders
