I know it’s a late comment but I remember years ago we used that stuff in the ovens in our house But we sprayed it and turned the oven on and it would actually melt off the grease and than you come back and wipe it off way easier than just cold , maybe it has changed now but man that was a spray heat wipe and done brand new … I’m thinking they had to dumb it down and won’t work the same way but who knows maybe you still can .

Couple of tips to help get it spotless. !) Pre-heat the grill for 10 minutes before cleaning. That way the grease will begin to liquify a little and make cleaning easier. 2) Try using a portable steam cleaner. I have a Bissell "Steam Shot" and its absolutely amazing for removing baked on grease etc. I use that first after pre-heating the Grill, THEN hit any remaining grease with the spray foam. Good video!!
@OutOnTheReef10 ай бұрын
That is great news cap. Thanks for sharing 👍 awesome suggestion
@BobzUrUncle-te6dj10 ай бұрын
I should have also mentioned that the Bissell Steam Shot unit is small enough to easily transport and store on board. It also comes with several different heads (attachments) that aid in cleaning different surfaces. I use the wire brush attachment for cleaning my grills, but it comes with one that can be used on carpet or seat coverings etc. It can also be used to steam out wrinkles in clothing so its very versitile. And no, I dont work for Bissell. Its a great unit, and affordable too. Good luck and keep making great vids. @@OutOnTheReef

Hi Capt.... I hope Magma is sponsoring you; if not, they should be (Are you listening Magma?!?).... I had three Magma grills on two of our boats in the past. I swore I would never buy another one, until I've seen how yours has held up; and WHY yours has held up. In the past, they always corroded. The burner corroded. The grill corroded. They all fell apart; they were junk. I can see they are making them much better now. (Especially how the top/the lid is hinged back). The old design was terrible; the lid continued to fall off the grill!... BUT, I think one reason why they are better now (last longer) is because of how YOU have shown us how to use it.... You are using it as a 'stove/cook-top'. Not as a grill... The way you have shown us is to ALWAYS use a non-stick pan on the grill. That keeps all the 'yuck' out of the grill, and all of the 'yuck' from 'yucking up the insides of the grill! ☺..... Yes Capt OOTR, you always figure out the best way to do stuff!
@OutOnTheReef2 жыл бұрын
Hello Andrew and thank you buddy really appreciate your positive feedback and yes they do make them better now but the only thing is the accessories trees are terrible I purchase some accessories and they're poor quality but the magna grill is one of the best grills that I have seen out there and yes do not use shark holes or Burns or burn stuff through through the grill Use a pen and the grill will last you a lifetime but if you put stuff on top of the grill still all that grease and all that stuff with damage would damage your burner And of course I know it takes better that way but the grill will not last you more than 2 years if you use it that way ,thanks for watching captain and have an awesome night
@jeffreypinder93982 жыл бұрын
Great video, Captain. That grill is top quality and in great condition after 7 years of use in a salt water environment. I'd be careful of using degreaser around bare skin, a few days later you might be paying for it. One commenter suggested some "in shore" fishing, then you would be "Out on the Beach" longing for the Crooked Pilot House and fuel prices to go back down.
