I appreciate you making this video and tell me how to get those cable clamps out. I was able to do it from the top using a flat head screwdriver to turn it and pop it out.

No problem man, glad the video can help!

@@UnluckySully Yea it was a pain on those cables. I just used a super long flat head screwdriver to turn it. When I was reinstalling it I had to use another screwdriver on the bottom to push the cable up while using the other to turn it at the same time.

@@jasonbrockman562 yea I thought to myself surely putting it back won't be as bad. I was so wrong 😂

I already have a similar short shifter in mine. I want to get rid of the play and I was looking online. You can get a k tuned billet shifter arm that gets rid of the play and they cost around the same price. Only you don't need to take the whole thing out. Great video keep them coming!
@UnluckySully5 жыл бұрын
Ahh wow, I didn't even know this existed! The thing with K-Tuned is its all so expensive and for that price you might as well go for the whole new unit. Cheers man I have many more on the way :D

Thankyou very much for your honest opinion as i think alot of peeps are trying to justify they purchase when they make little difference.

No problem, always going to voice my opinion about the mods I do. No point on someone else wasting money on something they may not like. :)

Nice one for this mate but I cannot get those cables off with the anitclockwise turn. I can't even get a tool I there. How did you do it ?
@UnluckySully2 жыл бұрын
I ended up having to do it with my hand, it was battered bruised and covered in cuts but just got it out from going from the bottom of the dash

@@UnluckySully I got it out just now woohoo.... I had to bolt it back in and jam a flat head in there and apply leverage. Strange thing is I cannot see any difference in the Honda shifter and the Revo. Both are identical in size and movement.... WTF

@@leshkraven there might have been a short shifter already in there? There deffo is a difference

i wonder if this fits on the american si model, since the type r is 6 speed and the si is 5 and on top of that my ep3 has the pilot on the left.
@UnluckySully3 жыл бұрын
If the gears are the same in the sense of 1st is on the top left and 5th is on the top right then I ddont see why it shouldnt work, but dont trust me on that. Might wanna double check it.

Thanks a lot for the review. I was decided to buy the Revo shifter to get rid of that play but that difference in height in gear change doesnt sounds so good....Im still on oem shifter, does the short shifter makes that great improvement in throw? Thx!!
@UnluckySully4 жыл бұрын
The throw for the revo and the short shifter is exactly the same, so going forward I would say just get the short shifter as it's easier to fit, half the price and you gain the same benefits

@@UnluckySully great!! Will do for sure. What about changing the shifter base rubber grommets/washers for metallic ones? Is it worth and what do you feel?
@UnluckySully4 жыл бұрын
@@DiegoRodriguezAW11 I would say go for them purely for the bushes on the gearbox, more of a peace of mind as metal is a lot more secure then the really old rubbers that are on it. As for performance there is probably very little if any
@DiegoRodriguezAW114 жыл бұрын
@@UnluckySully Very appreciated, will do the gearbox ones then. Have you already tried any bucket seat you feel comfortable to use as a daily basis? Hating too much the standard driving position and poor grip the seats give on corners

@@DiegoRodriguezAW11 no problem, glad I could help. 👍 Personally I really like the standard seats so I haven't tried any other, could try and find someone with Premier edition seats as I know they are quiet different 👍
