Installing a Shurflo Water Pump and Fiamma Accumulator | Plumbing | DIY Sprinter Van Conversion UK

Like my electrical system, just to make things a bit more digestible, I decided to split up the installation of my water system into a few short videos, then later down the line I’ll do an overview video of the entire system.
It might seem like a bit of a strange place to start with the water pump, but it made sense in my head.
In this video I mount both the water pump and the accumulator and then fix some 12mm water pipe across the van ready to be hooked up to my tap and shower system.
I then looked at wiring the pump up to a simple on/off switch as it doesn’t need to be turned on unless I need it.

Hi nice video i have the same shower and im looking for a pump is the one you got ok with that shower looking at the specs for the pump that came with the shower its 6ltrs per miniute at 60psi so if your happy with yours ill copy you thanks mark

Your pipe clips will fit correctly with the saddle on the back. Your pump could have been 7ltrs/min not 10, which would have balanced better with the psi on your accumulator.

So why no filter in front of the pump?

Adding a filter is definitely an option, I just personally didn’t feel like I needed one. I’m always filling up directly from the tap and only use the water to was dishes and shower with. If I’m ever concerned about the water quality, I do have some water purification tablets too.

@@GreenHornCountryClub it's about the small particles that will affect the pump's membrane. It will not work anymore after 2-3 years.

@@silviuflorescu6838 Absolutely, I know it would certainly extend the life of my water pump, it might be something I look to add later down the line
