We kind of got into the habit of using the toilet with the hatch open (especially for #2) and turning on the pump afterwards to rinse instead of flush. We found our friend's accumulator pump was a total pain because it poured water even with the pump off - just a downside worth bearing in mind. I'm looking at some of the cheaper pumps that are coming available - if I find one, I'll do a review of it in action. Thanks for the advice on flow. If nothing else, I had been planning on 40L of fresh water but 40L of water / 10L per minute = need a bigger tank! I was really looking for how to integrate the pump with the hot water system - in particular whether a pressurised system is compatible with a thermosiphoning heat exchanger and tank.

@1knightinbangkok946 Жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. But you keep saying to pull out the JG collet to pull remove the pipe. You push the collet IN to pull out the pipe. Also, you should install a clip so the pipe won't pull out.

Hi good video , but what is hottest water temperature these can use to pump ? Thanks
@marioalvarezvilla24644 жыл бұрын
Those pre pressurized tanks go after the water pump for high water pressure. Putting it before pressurises the pump but not the sink/ shower.

hi there, great video, what size piping are you using for the inlet to the pump, the food grade pipe, also what size is the female fitting for the 12mm pipe (female thread size etc)
@SunscreenDreams4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. It is 12mm pipe, similar to this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251315819165. Which female are you referring to?

Hello, can i install the tank somewhere on the watering systems not close to pump because there is no enough place near the pump.
@philliphawes48782 жыл бұрын
Yes, accumulator does not need to be next to pump....just somewhere downstream of it.

Thank you for your video hope to be at this point in about a month but one question your tanks and some pipe work are outside the van what have you done to insulate system to prevent frozen pipes. I'm wanting to do a Scandinavian trip next year. Thanks again
@SunscreenDreams4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay in replying. We haven’t put any insulation on the outside of the tanks or pipe works yet but may look to put some form of lagging at some point. Most of the people that we have seen that use their vans in Scandinavia tend to not use external tanks but have a separate internal system that can be insulated easier.

We purchased most of the John Guest fittings from EBay. There are quite a few sellers on there, just check you are buying from the county you live in as there are lots of Chinese sellers that take an age to ship. Thanks for checking out the video.

Great video! Question, there is a valve on top of the accumulator tank, does that need to be opened or adjusted somehow? Or should it stay closed?
@philliphawes48782 жыл бұрын
There is a standard car air valve on the top of the accumulator to allow you to adjust the reservoir pressure.. it should be set to 3psi below the pump cut in pressure.

I thought DVLA stipulated that it just needed a water container and not running water, I may be wrong.
@SunscreenDreams6 жыл бұрын
Hi, Yeah the DVLA website does state that you need water storage within the van and not running water. The reason we mentioned that it is a requirement of the DVLA is that we were asked during our last conversion to provide a photo of the running water, we didn't question this as we were able to provide the photo. Thanks for pointing this out and for checking out our video. :)
