@ROBSOLUTELY9 ай бұрын
I didn't have any "silver tape". It is more like a sticky fiberglass roll? If so, mine did not come with it, but typically that can be used at the connecting pipe. When you take your factory exhaust off, you will probably see the same thing where the pipes connect. On an older bike, when you take an exhaust off, the exhaust seal can fall apart, so if you notice that with yours, the "tape" can probably be used as a replacement. Without seeing it, I cannot answer for sure, but that's my best guest.

@@SenateKT-uc2idnah man you need a race/whatever aftermarket filter, which I don't even think you can get for this bike yet, and a slip on with a cat delete, else you'll not have any gains. And when it comes to these bikes it won't even be enough to justify cutting out the cat and spending money for a dyno and a tune. It's a beginner bike after all, just get a slip on to change the sound a bit, make it a little louder or whatever and just enjoy it.
@SenateKT-uc2id Жыл бұрын
@@vali69I'm far from a "beginner". Been riding since I was 9 years old, have owned a couple R6's, a R1, and few super moto's. I don't attest to smaller cc bikes being only for "beginners". There is more to riding than going fast in a straight line. I already have the air filter. DNA makes one. And the exit on the stock exhaust is super tiny. So I'm hoping a slip-on/filter combo will give it a nice little bump. If I could get 5-8 more hp out of the bike I'd be pretty happy.

My helmet is pretty solid, so I didn't have any issues with it being too loud to motovlog. But I have upgraded to the Yoshimura now.

Man, it’s a beautiful bike!! Seriously undercuts the big manufacturers on price and everything u get! What about warranty and dealer support?

2-year full manufacturer's warranty and over 300 CFMOTO dealers with service to honor it if something does go wrong. Very strong brand in the USA now.

@@ROBSOLUTELY wow! I had no idea!! I only recently came across this bike :)) I ride a Harley and I haven’t been in sport bikes in years. Looking to get back into it, get it as my third bike. Possibly use it on track. I think it’s so awesome! Brembo brakes on a 5500 bike AMAZING. Simply amazing

A question, why do Americans not just use the appropriate hex notation, the 3/16" is operantly just a 5mm. Something way easier to remember and where the rest of the world instantly knows what is meant.

Because we are Americans.

You gotta be careful that the clamp holding onto the exhaust doesn't scuff up the swingarm when the suspension is doing it's work.

Already a very impressive machine, but once the aftermarket catches up, and someone offer a cat delete pipe or full exhaust, and Woolrich offers software to flash the ecu this bike will put most every 400 to shame.

Hello! Does this have any negative impact on the engine?
@ROBSOLUTELY Жыл бұрын
No, just a slip on exhaust, so nothing with the engine it touched.
@pipe-md6tb11 ай бұрын
is this a legit exhaust? I mean, is it specifically desing and tested for this bike?
@ROBSOLUTELY11 ай бұрын
It's just a slip on. It's not a full exhaust.

One thing you didn't mention---the weight difference. The new exhaust must be significantly lighter.

@@101BadBreath Sure, I just mean that I see a lot of videos where people claim that a light-weight slip-on makes drastic changes in weight and horsepower, but honestly it really shouldn't make much, if any, difference in the overall feel of the bike.
@101BadBreath Жыл бұрын
@@ROBSOLUTELY it was meant to be a joke about I myself could lose a few pounds, and itt would prolly do a lot more for a smaller capacity bike than a slightly lighter exhaust 😄 so I agree a lighter end can should not make much of a difference. To be fair I have slowly come down to 190 lbs from around 220 lbs two years ago...I am a very broad 5ft 9... Want to be 180 lbs so a little way to go yet.
@101BadBreath Жыл бұрын
@@ROBSOLUTELY some slip on can's have been Dyno tested and show some gains... Up to around 1.5-2.5% ... One might notice that on track times but doubt it makes any real difference on a road... Full exhaust systems and ECU flash can see gains of 5-7% but uses more fuel and not sure of impact on the life of the motor. I love that my ninja sees up 210+ miles on a tank with some careful riding.... Was really nice when touring northern Scotland. R7 gets around 150 miles only, but I may have been enjoying the extra power a bit much lol

Actually, a slip-on makes it sound better......the stock muffler with a cat delete will sound just as good with better performance and it will run cooler.....just fab up a mid pipe, break out the TIG welder and your in business.

The springs are loose because its a knockoff/imitation exhaust. Not talking shit im here because im looking for an exhaust but all these exhausts are cheap knockoffs.
@ROBSOLUTELY Жыл бұрын
It's a generic brand, but for now, it's what is available. It's actually quite good for what it is. KO Lightning is it's own brand.

@@ROBSOLUTELY pretty sure KZbin is deleting my response for including a link but Google "project SC fake exhausts". It isn't a generic brand it's a counterfeit. They are straight out of China.
@ROBSOLUTELY Жыл бұрын
@@SenateKT-uc2id If the exhaust says SC Projects on it, and it's actually a KO lightning, then it's a knock-off, generic. But when they put their own brand on it, it's not really a knock off. I have noticed many KO Lightning exhausts with SC Projects, Akrapovic, Yoshimura logos. In those cases, it's a generic knock off. Same exhaust, but at least I went with one that they brand in their own name. At this time, I am not seeing brand names make slip-ons for the bike yet. Give it a year or two and see what comes out. Until then, China exhausts are what's available. Honestly, the KO lightning that I have on mine is good.
