Using a panel like that here in the desert 🏜 would definitely keep battery 🔋 topped off 👏🏼

Great video. I want to get one of these. Wish they made them for the rood! Might be able to get close to 150w or atleast over 100w. Great video regardless.

Thank you for the video. Also, I would recommend using a 3m promoter as well before applying the tape. This will help greatly.

I need to find a solar panel like this but for the newer Tundra with the hood scoop

That’s a good point didn’t think about that…

So after you installed your panel is it still working fine? I installed a cascadia panel and I’ve gone through 3 of them on my JK. Cascadia has excellent customer service but replacing 3 of them so far is disappointing. The cascadia website says heat is not a issue but every panel I have installed has developed shorted cells. it’s on the hood of my JK Which generates a lot of heat in the Arizona sun. The current panel I have installed now lasted about 2 to 3 months and now it has a shorted cell I have contacted them and they have been very kind about replacing it or even a refund but I’m gonna run this panel for a while longer to see how long it last but they do have good customer service second to none.

Another great product review as usual. I'm interested in seeing the follow up review in the summer to see the output at full South Texas sunlight. Also comparing the Lensun app to the display on your Blackfire 1500. Did you consider running the fridge off the Blackfire considering it has a Lithium Ion battery and a built in MPPT charge controller? Just a thought
@OverlandNomad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeff! I did, but I don’t plan on always having the Blackfire in the truck. And the fridge I’m planning on running is half the size of the ICECO. I could always wire the solar panel to a power station like the Blackfire but I would like to add a 200w solar panel on the roof for the power station. We will see👍🏼
