Oem wheel is matte leather, they get shiny from the oil and grease on your hands. Wash your hands often and clean your wheel. My passport had 16k miles, still looked new, I never eat without washing my hands after.

Great video, lots of detail. I have that impact, it might make 100 ft lbs on a good day on level 3. I’d recommend getting the spec and using a toque wrench.

You can actually lock the wheel after getting it centered and use a breaker bar on it with one hand I’ve done it a lot

Just an FYI.. not saying this in a mean way, just info. The Honda wheel leather wasn’t shiny until after use.. if it was cleaned it would look the same as the new one.. matte and not shiny. It’s hand oil that makes it shiny. Same will happen with the new one. Just needs a clean 🤣

The Honda Civic CTR FK2 (we didn’t get) have the red striped indicator on the wheel you been taking about, but I doubt you’ll interested since it maybe cost a lot.

Is it pretty much the same if I have shift paddles? I have a 2020 sport sedan and the steering wheel came with shift paddles.... any huge difference? I def plan on changing it out with a nicer type r steering wheel soon

Did you have any problems with the radio settings or the windows not going down, etc. when you reconnected the battery? Because I heard that with some modern cars, if you disconnect the battery without connecting to a “memory saver”, you loose your radio settings, your electronics might be funky, etc.

I don't think that cheap one is real leather, most likely micro fiber leather. Honda advertises theirs as leather.
