Without even seeing a picture of your new shift knob, I knew exactly the brand of shift nob you were going to reveal when you mentioned weighted, metal, and heat resistant. The Raceseng brand!! I have a Raceseng Circuit Sphere 100 shift knob for my MK7 GTI, and it has the delrin finish as well, to resist heat. I bought it for that main reason, as other shift knobs burn my hand in the summer heat. It is the best shift knob I have ever had! The shape and ergonomics is incredible, the weight is balanced, and the style is just sexy!! Totally worth the cost!!

Bought it, installed it, LOVE IT! I did not think it was going to make that much of a difference, but the feel is simply amazing! I haven't installed the bushings yet, the shifter is so tight, that I am not sure if it is worth all the trouble to put those in, so I will hold on to them until this thing breaks in a little and re-evaluate that after. My settings: I dropped the stick height down to "1", I moved the gate all the way down, and I left the shift length set to what it came with which was "3", and I run the 2017-2019 round factory knob in place of the new 2020 knob it came with (I like the old knob better) . Thanks for the video!

I installed the bushings and the poco shift knob on my 11th gen SI and I would say it definitely worth it

I just ordered one of these from Todd, dude gives top notch service and was a pleasure to work with! Can't wait to put it in! Also... just an FYI... the gate adjustment isn't for spacing, it is for throw distance. So, the smaller you make that throw, the tighter together the gaps will be for each gate .

Had this on my 9th gen before my 10th gen. It was nice and notchyyyy but the stock shifter is so smooth. ❤️
@ObsidianSilence4 жыл бұрын
I have found that the stock shifter wants to be in 3rd or 4rth. I think what you call the lockout, at least in my experience, is going from 4rth to 5th, or 5th to 6th, even 2nd to 1st, my shifter tries to center and drop into 3rd or 4rth. If I'm not paying any attention to the shift it'll make it and I'll under or over Rev. Sometimes if I'm fast on the shift it won't make it all the way center and hit the gate in the middle and not go into gear. That's what I think you are talking about when you say lockout. What i have found is when going straight up and down on the side gears (1,2,5,6) I have to ride the outside and put pressure to go straight. I've never gotten the lockout riding the rails but still do if not paying attention. Same goes for going from the center to the outside, i have to consciously put pressure to go to the outside or I'll drop from 4rth to 3rd instead of hitting 5th.

You should get a hybrid and compare it ,that will help a lot of people to decide which one they should get , I went with the hybrid racing one and yeah the is a little tiny play still in gear but that's ok , I think to stiff is bad for the cables or maybe the gears in the transmission, correct me if I'm wrong later
