THANK GOD YOU UPLOADED THIS. Just today i blew out a bearing on my clutch bell and when i tried taking everything apart it all just flew over the place. So now I was left with the clutchbell and and the shoes left on the flywheel. I was extremely confused was figured it mostly out after some research. But there were no videos on it the way you break everything down.

Buggy World I learned the hard way that you cannot mess around when tightening that flywheel nut. I had the nut back out and grind up a little bit of the brass collet. I just grab the flywheel with vise grips and I take an 8mm ratchet and I goon that nut on there with every bit of gorilla strength I have. And this is on the Losi clutch on an OS Adam Drake Edition 2 engine.

🤪 now setup a Centax clutch or the springs on a multi shoe 1/8 scale clutch without the tool and make it look this easy 😂👍🏽 Some things about running nitro I don’t miss those little springs using only pliers was one of them

Wouldn't the clutch engage harder with the pins trailing versus leading, since they are opening in the opposite direction that the engine is rotating?

I just added the HR 3 shoe kit on my revo 3.3 since mine was broken when I got it. “Rebuilt” should stand for screwed lol

I just ordered the same HR 3 shoe clutch, do you have to get a new nut for the springs to sit in for it to work? My old rustler cutch nut doesn’t have a groove for the springs are they necessary for installation?

Cheezy Rider mine doesn’t have the groove either and it’s been holding but I do plan on getting the nut and changing it over later

Cheezy Rider they just set on the nut. It sits back about 3/16” so it’s not close to the edge plus the shoe would need to move to make the spring come off

great video. i have a question. after running my revo3.3 all of the sudden, it wont run. even full throtle it wont go. its like sonething is holding it. tires are not even spinning even its full throtle. would it be the clutch shoe problem. apreciate the help mark. have a great day

Hmm, I just watched another vid and the guy used a screw into the shaft instead of the C clip. Mine seems to be fine after a breakdown, yet I was driving earlier and I noticed a good bit of slipping, and then it simply wouldn’t go at all. When apart both the spur and clutch spun freely, but when running neither do shit. Any ideas? Slipper clutch?

8MM is .0025" larger than 5/16"

You want the flywheel pins to push the side of the shoe with the most meat. Not the side with 1/8 in of meat.

The end of the shoe will fail if its backwards. There's not enough material to support the torque of the engine. The pin should push the shoe not pull.

No, there different. Mark should be using a 9mm for that nut.

Should have said 7mm. The nut is metric so if 8mm is a sloppy fit and 3/16 fits better than 8mm, wouldn't the size be 7mm?
