The algorithm has failed me. I miss this video for a full week

I've been *mostly* patiently waiting for this video.

It's crazy how trouble free this system has been for you right off the bat.
@3rdGenGuy19 күн бұрын
only issue I've had is overheating my relay box that powers this unit. gonna move the 12V main wires over the winter to fix that. I also purchased the BMW motorsports Full RACE ABS unit today as well ha ha. should be even better than the M3 unit

@@3rdGenGuywould you sell the old abs setup

This is next level! My son and I are following your old video on replacing the rear axel as we swap one with a posi in our 3rd gen.

Awesome video. I'll have to give it a try on my old racecar. If you are looking for new things to do and are a tinkerer like me, why not try an electric steering column from a Prius so you can run a more aggressive ratio in the steering box. Sounds like you may have completed a project car to the fullest!
@3rdGenGuy18 күн бұрын
I've seen the EV steering kits. interesting for sure. but I have a old 8:1 NASCAR box that has a super quirk ratio, hard to beat that

Great vid. Clean Install! Where did you sourced the Atec banjos?
@3rdGenGuy9 күн бұрын
You have to message ATEC and order from Europe. otherwise you can use inline fittings. they are cheaper, but less clean looking.

Awesome content, as always. Do you think it is possible to make a traction control system with this pump?
@3rdGenGuy18 күн бұрын
The pump won't control a TC system, but the 4 speed outputs work as data inputs into ECUs like Halltech TC. in the video I mentioned I put the 4 speed outputs on a plug for later.

How is the BMW unit different from a 4th grn GM unit? Flushable?
@joaoescudo156120 күн бұрын
@@jhuntosgarage It's not stand-alone
@3rdGenGuy20 күн бұрын
4th gen isn't Standalone, and the 4thgen ABS is CRAP for racing. this Mk60 is often swapped into c5 and c6 corvettes. even c7 corvette owners using this BMW ABS. even seen this Mk60 on Porsche 911 Cup cars. ya those million dollar race cars.

Very interesting work ! Is a prop valve still used in this kind of system ? Do you think you can get the 60-o distance down with further tuning ?
@3rdGenGuy14 күн бұрын
I use a balance bar, so no prop valve. but you can install a single prop valve on the rear brake lines after the ABS unit. or just use the ABS unit handle the rear lines without a prop valve. I think with better brakes and the MK60 race tune I could do 95ft 60-0mph

hello! why not organize a trip with your Camaro to test the reliability of all your modifications? it would be super cool to watch! thanks

I could drive my 92 RS 2,000+ miles and it'd be fine. it's fairly reliable.

Are you still making the "Trap Fuel Door" for the 3rd gen Camaro ? If so, how much and how do I pay you ? I have Paypal to pay you .

What's the reasoning for keeping third gen axle length rather than swapping to a 4th gen rear diff entirely?
@3rdGenGuy2 күн бұрын
4th gen axles are wider. makes wheel fitment way worse. especially since I Run custom made Forged wheels meant for 3rd gen widths.
@joaoescudo15612 күн бұрын
Why not go with 98-02 reluctor wheels instead of mustang? What was reasoning for that? Sorry for so many questions.
@3rdGenGuy2 күн бұрын
a few reasons. 1: you can't buy OEM 98-02 tone wheels. Hawks has replacements that are like 3lbs each and $60+ lol. 2. mustang tone wheels are cheap & easy to get. 3. the Strange floater kits use 50tooth mustang ABS wheels. my main reason. I'm trying to save up for a full floater cambered 12 bolt axle. www.strangeengineering.net/product/strange-pro-touring-floater-kit-with-cambered-spindles-toe-plates-axles-and-brakes-sold-separately.html/
@joaoescudo1561Күн бұрын
Strange sells the 02 Camaro rings for $38. You think I could run those on the front? They come stock in the rear. Otherwise I need to tell them to put the mustang ones as I'm building a strange s60 to bolt right up to a 3rd gen.
@3rdGenGuyКүн бұрын
$110 to install 2 rings, miss me with that ha ha. Any tone wheel works as long as all 4 are the same. The ABS doesn't know how many teeth the wheel have. some tone wheels can be as cheap as $10 each
@joaoescudo1561Күн бұрын
@@3rdGenGuy Thanks! I decided to go with the mustang to be on the safe side. Did you not use dust shields in your build? Your backing plates look quite different from mine.
@3rdGenGuyКүн бұрын
no dust shields anywhere on my car. as far as the tone rings, it's whatever works really. just make sure all 4 are identical and the wheel height is the same on all 4 tires.

What wiring loom do you use?
@3rdGenGuy18 күн бұрын
the smaller wire sleeving was from Waytech. the larger 1.25in sleeving was something I got off amazon.
