Installing a VW Beetle Body - How To - The Sickxty - Volksrod Franken Beetle Baja Build - 50

Today's video is a special one! It's the 50th episode on the Sickxty build. Hard to believe it's taken this long to complete however there was more that needed to be done and of course family and life take priority over garage time.
Today, the body is finally going to be permanently mated to the chassis! We'll go over installing the body seal on the chassis and bolting the body to the chassis.
I'm even showing the new rims and tires for the build and a special feature inside the body for an upcoming project.

Excellent job and video Gary! Top 3 pieces of the video 1- Right after the body was set down and the suspension compressed for the first time 2- pro use of the tap I'm going to have to keep that technique on file! 3- electrical tape holding your wound together, 💯 pro level mechanic just had to do that today haha

People thought the tires we put on my boys were big 225/75 R15 - You're all in and it looks great.

WOW, this is a big step forward. I am interested in what motor you intend on using in this thing. With those tall tires you are going to need a lot of torque to get going and some good power to stay up at speed. Maybe a 2 liter motor build in the future?

Huge step forward! I had to stand back and just stare at it for a moment. Can’t believe we’re at this point! Well, everything has been spec’d for one another. Custom built and geared pro street trans for these tires and the 2054 from jawbreaker will go into this.

Basically I'm doing the same thing you're doing but you're doing a nicer neater better job that I'm going to probably be doing but my question is the brake line that I saw on the chassis I must have missed during your playlist is that a hydraulic parking brake or e-brake type setup and if you have that on video can you direct me to which one it is I would like to duplicate it and thank you for your videos because you've been very helpful in my learning and educating process of doing my cars

I appreciate the kind words but this isn’t anywhere close to perfect, there’s plenty of flaws everywhere and I’m ok with it. I don’t think I have a video on the ebrake setup as it was done last year and I didn’t record much of it.
