If I have to turn the water off at the shutoff valve upstream of the PVB, (bc of an irrigation line leak) do I have to follow these steps again when I turn the water back on?

My flow is slow once I open the second valve after the first one is pressurized. What do I do?

My Zurn Wilkins is older and the outlet leg goes to the right. If I replace it I would need to have the new Zurn Wilkins facing my wall with the valves against my house wall. That seems like a poor design. Why did you flip the device and what do you recommend?

Could you purchase a rebuild kit and use the original valve body? Additionally it appears that the actual vacuum breaker devices is separate from the valves and the valves thread into the vacuum breaker devices. Could you simply tape and tighten the valves onto the new unit until the are in the correct orientation?

At 4:07 when you are adjusting the downstream valve that goes to irrigation if I partically open that valve will it reduce the pressure in the irrigation system? I have very high utility pressure and need to lower the pressure. Also what would you suggest with a 1 inch pvc pipe connecting to the 720a should I use teflon tape and pipe dope at the same time?

yeah, use pipe dope. mine leaked and had to do again.
