Thank you so much for this video, as I've learnt much more about this subject than I realized was the case. I have considered doing this modification for a while but I hadn't thought about the modification to the drive shaft. Now I understand about drive shaft angles. Cheers.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I am only 15 but love learning more and more about mechanics everyday and think that you do an excellent job at teaching. My project at the moment is taking a wrecked 80 series body of the chassis to put another body on it that I haven’t decided what yet but can’t wait to get stuck in. Thank you

Sounds great hope you document it and remember that a problem is a solution in disguise, happy to help where needed, thanks

A jack under the tail shaft or at the front of the rear diff lets you rotate the rear axle to get the hole to line up, and get the whole thing on the angle you want and make the holes line up for those bolts

Those look really beefy and strong! Nice work!

Cheers 🍻 and thanks for watching, at least I don’t bend them anymore 😆

could you also just measure the angle of the flange instead of measuring the distance? This seems like it would be easy since you removed the shaft.
@njpw1402 Жыл бұрын
Yeah that is right I did not have an angle gauge or small level as this would be great but I was not very well equipped “thanks”

Nicely done...what size lift are you using that you need to do that? I have the Dobinson’s 2” lift and it seems fine so far without any other modifications.
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
Thanks, It is 4” so it needed a lot of correction 🤪 thanks for watching

Great vid. Those adjustable control arms are great. Is your driveshaft out of phase?
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
Hi, I had the drive shaft lengthened and balanced thanks I hope this is what you were asking 😁
@Ed-sh8jt3 жыл бұрын
why did you remove the drive shaft if you copy the length of the old trailing arm to new trailing arms nothing should have changed?
@taotaomotna5395 Жыл бұрын
What brand arms are those and length are they tks
@njpw1402 Жыл бұрын
Superior engineering is the brand and they are fully adjustable for length I hope this is the information that you need cheers and thanks for watching 😊

Hi bud. This is a 2yr old video I know but I have to ask WHY are you adding adjustable LCA's? You already have adjustable upper arms... So why not shorten those to raise your pinion angle?
@njpw1402 Жыл бұрын
No worries bro I was maintaining the compression curve in the spring whilst correcting the pinion angle

well another year later i would like to say sometimes large wheels are too close to the front of your wheel arch so having upper and lower ca adjustable is mint to push the whole axel back while maintaing pinion angles, happy springs and the rest. It's not rocket science if you just think about it

What brand control arms are they and how much?
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, the brand I use is superior Engineerinig and they cost around $410 I hope this helps cheers thanks😊

how many ugga duggas did you use when tightening the bolts? :P
@njpw14023 жыл бұрын
The term ugga dugga has been mentioned so many times that I think I need to research and find an ugga dugga metre so I can give some clarity on this 🤪

13:10 mate you unknowlingly just showed 100ish noobs how to use 2 spanners together but I still guarantee they will struggle with orientation at least for their first 20 tries of this technique hahahaha I would love to know what your trade is too because your skill set seems very familiar as a self confessed wanna be car mechanic specialising in something completely different!!
