Unfortunately. That bumper wouldn't last 10 minutes over here on the East Coast. The roads are way too rough. It might be alright with more air in the bags though. 🤔 Good luck with your project 👍

Definitely need to raise it up some for comfort.. but it’s got some good clearance when fully aired up.

I think those springs are longer than the 379. I have a short hood 379 and want to run those leafs you just added but I’m not sure they will fit. Love your videos! Thanks for all you do to show the mods you do.

Thanks! Yeah they are longer than 379 leafs you’ll also need to move the brackets. 389 Pete is only the one that would be direct swap.

@@gtmotorsports937 i have these springs in my standard hood 379.move the rear bracket to where your hood guide/belly strap bolts on .drill two bottom holes.

Cool Vid.... dont ever use nyloc nuts, as they dont stay tight. It is the plastic that jams on the threads. Best is use hardened lock nuts.All suspension work i do here , always use hardened lock nuts. Never anymore dramas. Lucky over there you can get front air suspension . Over here we have no option for Ag130 in Kenworth trucks.

Question isn't the ag130 the same as a volvo spring..there's this place in allentown pa..when I imput that number on the leaf spring is says its a volvo spring.

You got the 8 bag Ag 400 rear? i found when i adjusted the rear it removed a whole lot of steering wandering..was planning on changing my Front shocks ( 12 gauge ) so what's the solution if you strip it? have to buy a whole new plate?! idk why they didn't just provide bolts that go thru like the top...

Yeah ag400. Lots of the wandering went away after I adjusted my drives too. I just installed a 6 degree caster shim and it rides great now really straight down the road. I’m going to be drilling out the stripped bolts and putting my own grade 8 bolts.

If you can't control the height from the Cab , everything will be fine, but I think that if it's not like that, the Bumper doesn't have much left.....

Didn’t touch the rear end yet, you wouldn’t want to lower it or else you will have driveline vibrations.

I got Peterbilt 389 with the 12 gauge air ride, I like to upgrade to new leafs , but I’m not happy with the 12 gauge, The airbag mounts broke on me couple of times, do you think I should look into the original set up sane as Newer trucks? I really like your content. Keep it up brother, Thank you.

Yes you will 379 has shorter leafs like older w900, plus you will also have to do something with your hood mounts on the frame they will be in the way.

Yes has been done many times. You will just need to relocate the rear spring hanger 5” back as well and make custom hood brackets that hold bottom of the hood in place.
