Installing An Addicted Off Road Front Bumper On A 3rd Gen 4Runner

Hey Austin, Thank you for the time you take to post these videos. I ordered an addicted plate bumper. Expecting to be delivered during last week of January, first of february? What king of winch can you mount on these bumpers. Addicted website says 10x4.5" winch mounting pattern, but any winch i see doesn't mention mounting pattern? I see you have a badland on yours? which one is it?

the mounting for winches seems to pretty much the same across the board. I have the 12k badland winch. But I've had people reach out to me saying they don't fit anymore. Mine barley fit. so I wouldn't recommend the badland 12k for the addicted bumper.

Hey, was wondering what the difference is on the all black 3rd gen @ 7:21 Is there wheel spacers or is that just tire offset that I'm seeing there?

Did you have to cut into the grill at all to mount that Apex Badlands winch with that bumper? I got that winch with a HF 25% off coupon but I done messed up and ordered a 4xI bumper. No good options for that bumper with this winch. Basically I'd be chopping the bumper and the grill to fit things, also since I'm rolling on a pre-fat lip I don't have quite as many mounting bolts and I wouldn't be thrilled with winching with the mounts that it does have. Bout to see if I can get this sold off for as close to what I paid as possible or pony up 600 more for the AOR.

I cut my grill. it sucks but it is what it is. not sure if it fits a 4x bumper but it fit in my addicted offroad (barely) also have a 97 with a costal front that it fit in but I also had to cut the grill. great winch though.

One more question, Did you had to install the winch before you mount the bumper, or you have enough space to drop it in from the top with the bumper installed ?

I installed mine with the bumper mounted to the 4Runner via the top.

Yeah they fit so nice but you had to cut the frame tabs and ream out all the holes on the bumper

Hey im hoping you can answer this, I previously had to trim about 1/4 inch off my frame to install the front bumper i have now, would fitment be an issue if I bought the bumper from Addicted Offroad or do you think it would be okay?

this bumper is powder coated. paint works it all about the prep. I personally powder coated mine.

bumpers are going to be mounted on 20ish-year-old vehicles and the chances of each and every one of them having a perfect frame with no previous damage is slim.
