I just installed the IE intake, ECS turbo inlet, turbo muffler delete, and diverter valve on my 2021 GLI, love the difference it makes!

If you guys are planning to keep that intake in there you should look into cleaning or replacing that filter, it looks like it has seen some better days.

I've got a 2017 A3 with an APR OAI, works amazing and turbo swoosh is awesome! IE stage 1 and would love to cruise with you guys, just north of boston!

I have the Apr one and the factory ducting with the backing plate which works just like IE's ducting except the factory is better sealed once you out in the backing plate.

Were there any downsides to putting the cai in with everything else stock? Like did you have to tune it or anything ?

On the right hand side of the oem intake the bit you put in last the right hand side is blocked off it was a crazy design flaw take it back out cut out the right hand side that’s blocked as you look at it and you have just gained a load more air you can also buy the new intake they done a redesign v600 intake 👍🏻

You know i wonder if the IE intake will fit the APR filter. Cuz if so I might swap it over. Only thing is the APR one I have is CF.

Would it be a big difference going from my modded stock box with a silicone intake pipe and cts inlet elbow, to an apr open pex or the ie that you have? And what would u recommend the apr or ie… i had the injen and swapped back cause it was garbage.

Got this intake everyone raves about the sound and woosh out it on my s3 and threres no noticeable noise difference so strange my car is a manual don’t know if that’s somehow impacting the noise

Hey man I’m trying to install the open apr intake to my a3 as well. What happens to the vacuum line after putting in the apr intake? and is the secondary filter required? The secondary filter didn’t come with my intake.

I just installed mine today I have a s3.Nothing happens to the vacuum line it should just plug in the intake and be fine.Mine didn’t have a secondary filter and I bought one on the apr website for no reason.I researched a lot and it’s not mandatory.But it will run much better with it.If it was mandatory it would’ve came with the intake. Hope you enjoy your intake :)
