Hi, thanks for the tutorial. It's defo helped with the chin rubbing, and back of the head scratching.. Question: What mounting turret did you use? The only ones i can find via Autoterm are flat 'bendable', and square.. Cheers, J.
@bobilvans420514 күн бұрын
@@Jim_Kay. so the turret comes in the kit. We sell a slightly different Autoterm kit now and a different turret plate, but if you contact us when you place the order we now have a 3D printed part which fits the turret nicely and mates it to the floor. I can chuck it in the box if you like.

Great Video, thanks for all the info. Couple of things, is there any concern with the fuel pipe being close to the van exhaust? And what about being able to remove the heater for servicing,with such a tight space? Thanks
@bobilvans4205Ай бұрын
@@jamieniche the exhaust has a heat shield so no chance of it causing issues with the fuel pipe. And yes it would be tricky to get out but definitely do-able, fortunately Autoterms don’t need servicing or any attention when installed as they are so reliable, they really are fit and forget.

Brilliant Idea and Job on the breather! Could you go down straight with the Metal Pipe or bend it inside the Tank as well to get around the level sensor assembly ( which is a kind cylinder) and q2 which glue would you recommend or is that Dekasil or Sicaflex? Would be great to get some more Tips to get rid of my 7,5 L tank and Tap the 120 L tank ( Ducato) ty

I'm thinking about doing this myself. My only concern is that if something attached to the bottom of the heater needs replacing, it looks like it would be very difficult to get to. Is that actually the case?

Hi! Great video, thanks for sharing the method. I am going to do something very similar with my 2015 Relay. Only unclear on one thing - once you make the whole in the breather connector, how far does the metal fuel pipe need to go down into the tank?
@bobilvans42058 ай бұрын
I think I cut around 200mm off the Autoterm one. You can push the tube to the tank bottom to measure it.

Great video and love the insert into the breather, going to do my own soon, would have liked to have seen a bit about routing the wiring as not everyone mounts there battery right next to the drivers seat. Was this the leisure battery of a moved main battery ?

A helpful video, thanks. Did you put anything inside the dip tube while bending it to 90 degrees to avoid it folding? Did you heat it before bending?
@bobilvans42052 жыл бұрын
I actually found the tube bent really nicely so it didn’t need anything. Didn’t heat it, I think it’s just a really soft metal so quite an easy job really!

Nice job. Has your fuel guage frozen at all? Some modern cars, if you syphon fuel out the tank, the digital fuel guage freezes. I don't know why but have seen it several times. Used to work in the trade. So have been wondering if you hook one of these heaters up to the main tank in a modern van, would it happen. Cheers

Dose the heater smell out side the van? As all ways on camp sites. Thanks
@bobilvans42052 жыл бұрын
Generally if you’re running the heater the doors are closed as it’ll be cold outside. Smell isn’t a problem as the fumes dissipate instantly.
