Very nice work and informative video. I am getting ready to do this right after Christmas and this video was perfect for what I need to accomplish. Thanks for putting this together.

Looks amazing... Is there a reason why you used polycrylic instead of polyurethane for your sealer?
@perrellapartyof53 ай бұрын
I can’t member what originally drove us to polyacrylic, but we found it really easy to work with, and we really liked the finish. It also dries quick and is easy to clean off. I hope that helps :-)

Another beautiful job and informative. I really appreciate y’all. And I hummed the rocky theme!! LOL Hope you tell us about the Faroe Islands. It’s on my list!

We are having an amazing time in the Faroes....You would love it....

Beautiful job, Marc! Nobody can accuse you of not thinking things through LOL. Man, that last shot where you could see the overhead cabinets, the counter & sink, headliner and in relation to the front "cab", it is REALLY looking good! We are getting anxious as we finally have at least been given a "scheduled ship date" from Dodge of Aug 28 out of Mexico (of course it could be another 5 or 6 weeks after shipping). Really looking forward to the continuance/completion of the shower stall etc. Faroe Islands! I saw a video on them and they look enchanting. I think maybe part of Scotland? Enjoy! Oh man....the van will be in your driveway soon enough. Cant wait to see what you do with it. Yes, the Faroe Islands are quite outstanding......we got a lot of rain today but hoping tomorrow will better. And I love the reprieve from the heat.

You didn’t need to go to the trouble with the corners. Your half inch bit gives you a radius in the corners because a circular bit can’t follow the 90 degree corner.

What sink did you choose, size and where did you purchase, please? Great job and I did hum Rock theme. Have fun on your trip!!!

Which router bit did you use? My BB is 1.5 inch thick?
@marctania23494 ай бұрын
Im so sorry it took so long to respond. We used a Freud bit. 1/2" shank. It cut through the BB like butter but wow made a lot of dust

Did y'all buy the fridge yet? Do you know what one you're getting? I don't see a video on it yet. Happy Thanksgiving 🌻🍁🍃🦃
@marctania2349 Жыл бұрын
Yes we bought this one. Just a note, it just barely fits.....I think we have it on. 4" platform and the butcher block sits just above it. But it looks and works great Cruise 130 Elegance Black, 4.6 cu.ft., AC/DC, Black Door, 3-Sided Flange

Correct, this video explained several finer details I hadn't come across yet. I hadn't even considered the inside edge using a router, guess I was gonna jig saw it but that wouldn't of looked good.
@marctania23499 ай бұрын
Yeah, the router is way cleaner....but, wow, it makes a mess
@patricklions90669 ай бұрын
Biggest choice for me is epoxy or polyurethane. I keep getting told polyurethane will not be water phobic enough to protect butcher block in an undermount configuration. Epoxy they say will work..but epoxy is more of a pain to apply. They make triple thick poly, I think I might do 10 coats of that. That's gotta be thick and eater resistant. Seeing you use poly made me feel more comfortable going with the poly, it's easier to work with.
@marctania23498 ай бұрын
The poly seems to be holding up pretty well

Great craftmanship but you're either retired or paid by the hour

I'm neither.....I'm just really anal about stuff that has my name on it. To be honest, I would do it the same way if I had to again. It was more work....but really looks nice
