I have had this for a few years. And it works great. I just used the Meross lan HACS integration which I was not adding the door opener at first but for the plush and it just detected it and just worked. I liked this so much and the CarPlay integration was so cool I purchased one for my mother as well.

Nice to hear it's lasted you a while. The Carplay Integration is the best part. I'll check out the Meross lan HACS integration. I've got a few more meross videos coming out before I get to it though.

I just installed a RATGDO and it works awesome. Install was a bit simpler than the Meross and has an ESP Home install to put directly into Home Assistant.

I've heard a bit about these since the Chamberlain fiasco.... I was interested, but the Homekit integration without hassle was the selling point here.

Thank you for the clear video… unfortunately mine only works when I am at home with WiFi connected. How can I use it when away to open the door for deliveries?!?

If you're using Homekit, you need to have a "Home Hub" enabled that's always at home. An Apple TV or Homepod can act as a Home Hub. If it's just connected natively to the Meross App, it should be cloud connected, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to control it remotely.

The small light bulbs blow with all the movment of the garage motor, have you thought about a automation to turn on the bigger light in your ceiling when the door opens etc , I found this to work much better, than replacing the small bulb every few months

Yeah I used to have that automation, but I've since swapped to triggered by motion detection on the UniFi Camera above the internal garage door, it's okay, but I do need to add the automation back to the Contact sensor, because we reverse into the garage, if it's quite late, it takes a while for the motion to be detected and triggered, turning the light on, and that can be a bit of a pain.

Can you open the Garage door via Carplay or just can use Siri via HomeKit? I can't see the Meross Garage Opener show in my Carplay windows when Car is approaching the Garage door. Siri is not very convenience for me as I need to unlock my mobile phone first (for safety concern) ....

Works with CarPlay so it can be triggered from the Main screen when I'm within ~ 1 km of home.

I'm not sure how the Android Auto interface operates. I assume you'd need to integrate the Garage Door opener with Google Home. The Meross unit appears to support Google home natively so I don't see why not.
