Have you looked at the original airbox design? Pretty sure its the same across the whole b9 range and seems good with the big cone inside. To gain 30% more airflow from an already good design must be good going. 👍

That’s just what APRs website says. It definitely feels faster and breathing easier. All the turbo noises and exhaust note is noticeably louder as well. I’m happy with the purchase, plus it looks cooler in carbon fiber

Hey man, have you tuned your car with apr stage 1 yet? I have a 2022 s4 and I talked to a local shop that told me the tune is available now. thinking about getting their intercooler intake and tune all at once. thanks

Thanks for tip on that ratchet for removing bottom bolt. I just ordered on ebay. Which bit do you stick in there to remove bolt?

Top and bottom bolt that hold the flange on are the same size, I can’t remember what size torque bit takes it off! Even with that little tool it is a tight squeeze, you’ll have to get creative with it lol

Hopefully this helps

I just ordered it by calling APR and talking so somebody over the phone. Everything was included when I purchased it, you do need a special ratchet to get out the bottom screw that holds on the intake tube to the turbo though.. job is impossible without it

what made you go with APR's intake outside of the others? I also have a b9.5 and trying to decide what intake system I should go with between 034, Apr and Unitronic. Also have you already gone Apr stage one? if so, how is it?

I got it because I didn’t want a cheap intake on my $60k car. Also they are a very well known company and no I don’t have stage one yet because APR hasn’t come out with one for the 2022s.. it’s totally up to you with which route you go, just depends on how fancy you want to get

they've released stage one for the ecu, just not for the tcu as of yet. Apr states the ecu tune is sufficient enough. I'm looking to go stage two unitronic pretty soon though to get 450 to the wheels.

The car will breathe better right throughout the rev range. You won’t regret it, especially if you also go stage 1 and tcu.

I been told if you really want to hear the turbo sounds then you need an open air filter. Is this true ?

It would definitely be louder but at that point it would not be a "cold air" intake.. it would suck in the hot air from the engine compartment

Did you have any issues getting the box to sit down in all 3 bushings? I have a b9 and it looks to be the same as yours but I can’t seem to get the box to sit in it’s spot the way the OE box fits

Not that I saw. I just recently uninstalled the apr bc one of the attachments on the turbo inlet pipe” for the breather hose I think”just fell off. APRs customer support is legit.. they’re overnighting a replacement pipe. When I put it back on I’ll let you know how it goes.

@@GuessWhoGurr I’ll do that if it happens again. I was just shocked they replaced it. I purchased it almost two years ago but it sat in the garage for 6 months bc the engine failed and I put the stock intake back on before I took it to the dealership.

@@domturbocharged7660 you will need to get the T-bit I can’t remember what size it is. Have to watch the video again. The turbo noise is a lot better, you can feel and hear the difference for sure. Hope that helps man!

no sir, even after a cat back exhaust is installed no tuning is required. once you go with a high flow cat or race cat THEN you will need a tune.
