I'm doing a 79' square body step side bed wood right now and i loved what you did here so much that I'm doing the same.. trying to do the wood grooves myself..what I was wondering is how you bolted down the rear sill through those weird shaped tabs..oh yea..sweet truck it inspired me

Thanks that truck won first place at the grand national roadster show last year 🏆 I was stoked being a small time garage builder 😱 I can’t remember exactly how I bolted that down it’s been a couple year’s 🤔

Great work man. Did you weld or bolt the angle strips to the bed walls?
@heimlichhotrods9 ай бұрын
I spot welded it from the outside of the bed walls with stainless wire and polished the heat signature off when done👍thanks for watching😎

Holy smokes! That truck looks amazing. You got me thinking about the steering column. I kept my trucks patina. Yours looks so good that I may find myself regretting my decision. 🤕

While watching this video I noticed how the fuel filler neck was hidden in the bed. Do you have a video of how this was done? Thanks!
@heimlichhotrods3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching I don’t think I have any footage on that but the fuel door is made by Hagen 👍😎🚗💨💨💨

Really like the installation of the bed strips with Rivnuts. Can you give more details on screw size and where you got them? They appear to be polished socket head stainless steel versions. How many were needed?
@heimlichhotrods4 жыл бұрын
1954 GMC I used 1/4-20 stainless steel button head Allen’s I can’t remember how many but it was a lot I’m doing a tilting wood bed right now on my channel you can check it out at my most recent videos thanks for watching 👍🤓🚗💨💨💨💨
