I dropped my 2022 2”. I got the drop link from Alif Performance because you can get them with the bearings already installed. You still can get low in corners even with a 2” drop. Not as low as stock height but plenty enough for the street. I don’t see any difference in handling. I used a heat gun to warm up the plastic and push it up with the round part of a ratchet. Give me enough room for the shock and I didn’t have to cut the plastic and leave a hole back there.Im 5’ 10” And could barely flat foot but it just makes it easier to move around while sitting on it and I like the way it looks lowered.

I heard Alice performance is a good modding company, it’s nice the bearings come pre installed but it was a lot easier than I thought changing them out! As well BTMOTO and I have a great relationship with eachother so that’s why I went the BTMOTO route:) I think 2” is to low for me and 1 inch definitely did the trick!

How did you do the underseat part? I wanna drop 2” but dont want to cut anything
@s1kdk19 күн бұрын
@paologonzalez7094 I didn’t do 2 inches, I dropped it 1 inch which involves no cutting. If you get the 2 inch you have to cut the underside

Hi, I have booked a test ride for this model but its a few weeks. I just want to know what to expect. I'm about 5'4 ish and inseam of about 28 inches. Now the lowered seat height is 810mm and 1' lowering kit lowers it by another 25mm and that in combination with DAYTONA MAX boots should give me another 60mm lift😆. I might not even need a lowering kit with those boots. Or would I still need a lowering kit? How does the lowering affect the riding? Does it scrape a lot? I live in Belgium so roads are good. Does it have any affect on cornering as well? or 1' generally doesnt affect the handling as much as 2'?
@s1kdk2 ай бұрын
Lowering 1’ definitely does not affect it as much as one would think. I did not notice a drastic change at all with cornering as well as havnt scraped anything once. It is perfect for shorter riders who still want to enjoy the twisties! Hope this helps:)

Awesome video bro, i’ve been looking for this because BT Moto only has videos for the 2” kit. Quick question, why do all the other videos show the front end being strapped down?
@s1kdk5 ай бұрын
The front end straps are a separate product and are NOT needed to lower the bike 1 inch! The straps are there for roll racing to put load on the front forks, it’s also used to slam it more to look good at car shows! If you lower the rear you 100% have to lower the front as shown in the video! Hope this helps thanks for the compliment:)

@@s1kdk definitely helps! Will be using your video as a reference when i do. Stay safe out there man 🫡

One more question, have you looked into customizing the seat? I recently saw a youtube short from Motojitsu showing that as an easy upgrade for us shorter guys that will compliment the lowering even more. I’m 5’8” but have short legs so i think customizing the seat + this if needed will for sure let me plant my feet on the ground
@s1kdk5 ай бұрын
@rav3nst33l I have looked into them however I hate the look of them personally, I am comfortable with the balls of my feet because the past 4 bikes I’ve owned it’s always been the ball of my feet. However if you’re trying to go for flat footing I’d reccomend higher sole shoes, or the custom seat!:)

@@rav3nst33l I had my '24 seat upholstered and basically stripped it down to have as little foam as possible. It helped quite a bit.

How much does lowing the bike affect the handling ?
@s1kdk5 ай бұрын
I will be talking about that in my next video, so far havnt noticed a difference besides you feel the bumps on the road a lot more. There is the obvious however that it takes away from the lean angle on the bike a little bit, but as long as you’re not a moto gp racer you won’t really notice!

Uhh nah lowering the bike effect the bike alot. Go to the track and see the difference.
@s1kdk5 ай бұрын
I don’t track my bike, most I do is drag racing. I am going to the tail next month, I’m sure I’ll notice a difference but it won’t be super significant. I will definitely be making an in depth video explaining the difference after I have more miles on it lowered. As of right now though I rode it to work twice already through curvy roads and havnt noticed it a ton.
