Although i did all this on my 21 S1K. I didnt feel any noticeable difference with the ait relocation. Opted out with my 23. I believe the air temperature should be read at the stacks where the true temperature of the air going in the engine actually is. But in all honesty the air is moving so fast, how much does it actually heat up anyway?
@s1kdk7 ай бұрын
The air intake sensor is supposed to be what temperature the air is going into the engine correct, however with it being above the engine the reading is inaccurate. The engine running as hot as it does it will then turn 70 degree and make it read around the 120 degree area which is not what it is supposed to read. With it reaching anywhere above 120 it will tell the ECU hey, the engine is hot and the air coming in is hot, let’s not run max power so the engine can cool off more. When in reality it’s fine, the air temps are 70 but it’s reading 120 in the stock position, if that makes sense! It is meant for more track day/drag racer enthusiasts for the IAT relocation kit, however it is good for the street ad well.

Just had someone destroy the ignition on my new S1k trying to steal it. They tore it all up. Triple tree has scratches all over from them tryna jam a screw driver under the ignition and and broke the top of the screw driver off in the ignition. Can't even put the key in to take the steering lock off. Looks like they dropped it and picked it back up while trying to reverse it. So pissed. Can't wait to see how my insurance tries to do me over on this. Anyway congrats on the stage two. Hope it works for ya.

That’s so messed up dude I’m sorry😐😒thankfully I live in a small enough city not to worry to much about it. Whenever I ride to bigger cities I always make sure I can see my bike AT ALL times. If I’m going to a restaurant I make sure I get the window seat, if I’m getting a hotel, I make sure the bike is inside a closed parking lot/in my room. Have to take the right precautions but even then stuff happens, and people don’t want to work hard for what we worked for! Thankfully, it wasn’t stolen. Hope everything works out for you brotha. wish you the best of luck!

I dont get how the stacks make "7hp" they are identical to the factory ones except they are aluminum and stock is runner i spent the $300 for them and when i did the job was like wtf is the difference
@s1kdk8 ай бұрын
If you looked closer to my understanding the “flange” around the stacks are a little more promt, allowing more airflow into the engine. As well as I’d rather have aluminum than rubber at high speeds any day. Imagine if those rubber ones bent a little bit by the wind and gets sucked into the throttle bodies😅wouldn’t be good.

I don't think stocks are completely worthless. If you add a sprint filter with it. It will definitely help. BT is a little bit pricey, but the convenience of being able to have that handheld to go with you at all times with multiple tunes is great.

I don’t understand why everyone wants to “more” power. This thing is stupid fast from factory, even with the drop between 4-8k rpm. Believe me when I say this, once you hit that 8k it is just stupid fast. To the point that no ordinary human being will ever max the performance out. I even cruise at 65 mph all day, no need to be reckless in the road.
@s1kdk6 ай бұрын
Eh, yeah it’s fast. But 1000s should have power in lower RPMs. If you want to hit the powerband at 8,000 might as well buy a 600😆 people buy this bike to go fast, nobody buys it to cruise.
