Cool 2000 Dodge 2500 no cab lights on my truck. I didn’t even know how to remove the head liner. Had no clue about the wiring, thanks!👍

Thanks bro, just inherited a 96, and it all looks the same. The heads up on the headliner is the part I really appreciate. Too much stuff to break on a old girl that’s been baking in the sun for 27 years.

@@rickydkelley4679 i simply tapped into the existing harness, that powers the running lights when you turn or pull out the switch (depending on your year lol)

Would you know if the holes on top of the headliner are there on a 1500 from 1998-2001? If not, would you have a methood to figure out the places they need to be?

Should be the same for all 2nd generation rams. 15-3500. I’ve installed them on a 4th gen ram, we used a printed template you can purchase offline to position them.. but like i said 2 gens should have the holes already

As far as I’m aware, all 2 gens were stamped with the holes that allow the cab light sockets to be pushed through

Do you happen to know if those pre molded holes for the cab lights would be there on 3rd and 4th gens as well?

I would assume so, typically the manufacturer will press the sheet metal to accommodate for all of the vehicles features. Like my Jeep Cherokee & my 240sx… I’ve swapped them from electric to manual windows. Doors are pressed to accommodate both features.

2nd gens are the only models that came with pre molded holes, newer models require a template

I just simply splice it into the running lamp switch, so they come on when i turn it.
