Dave, this build is now looking spectacular! The ceiling is absolutely stunning, so bright and cheerful... makes the camper feel like a luxury home. Everything just blends together with a real touch of class. This will undoubtedly become your flagship production. Great work! 🏆👍

Thanks, it’s very nearly complete now, just some trim and a respray then it starts all over again with another bus

There are a couple of people who down thumb all of my videos as soon as they are released, some people just don't have a life and wait eagerly for a video to come out, just to downvote it. What they don't realise is KZbin counts all interaction as good, whether it was good or bad

Maybe the colour schemes offended them 😂

Hi nice ceiling, do you have any problems with condensation on it. Does it make any noise (squeaking) whilst driving? Thanks.
@TheCampervanBuilder3 жыл бұрын
no noise as they are screwed to the ply ceiling lining and no condensation either

Fire rated ? Curious for insurance policy
@TheCampervanBuilder5 жыл бұрын
it is all pvc cladding and pvc is a natural fire retardant, if anything, it would just melt and if you've got a fire big enough to hit the ceiling, things would be pretty bad anyway

Tip 1: I hate even mentioning anything critical here but for future learnings for everyone: when applying an insulation product that has a vapour barrier (or vapour control layer VCL) all seams and joints must be taped up 100%. If there any gaps within the boards (believe me - there always is as they are rigid and no flexibility in them) then heat moisture will go through and it could condensate at the backside or in the gaps. This will/could cause erosion and dampness issues (especially if wood). Tip 2: your spray foam is likely an open-cell foam that does NOT provide a vapour barrier - so, this should have been sealed in (after cutting) with paint on vapour barrier. Tip 3: When applying any foil tape, any heat that gets to it, it will eventually peel back - always use a scraper to rub the tape down and never just your hand. Great job mate and looks fantastic. I hope you don't mind the tips - Insulation is my game.

I’m based in Teesside. It would all depend on what needs doing as I only do conversion work in my spare time on weekends etc. Contact me via my Facebook page if it’s easier, link is in my video description or on my channel banner
