So I was looking at my 2zz trans to understand what you mean that I can flip the up and down movement but I don’t seem to grasp my head around it... I do want that shifter but I am having a hard time understanding

Yea it took my a little while understanding the whole reason why it needs to be flipped. The reason why is on this shifter when u push it forward it pulls the cable to the front of the car, while the stock mr2 shifter has a ball pivot. So on the stock mr2 shifter when you push it forward, it actually pushes the cable to the rear of the car. Acting like a counter lever. If helps to take a look at both the stock shifter and this one. The stock mr2 shifter when you push it into 1st 3rd or 5th gear it has a ball at the bottom that pushes the cable to the rear of the vehicle. The rsx billet shifter does not have a ball mechanism and directly corresponds with the direction that you are pushing the shifter. 1st 3rd and 5th fear in the rsx shifter pulls directly. Bc of this, you need to flip the transmission side of the 2zz tranny so when the cable pulls, it’s reversed so it pushes, just like the stock one did. I know it’s confusing but I promise once you wrap your head around it it’ll make sense. Looking at both shifter mechanisms helps a lot. I hope this helped👍

Make sure you have the distance of the shifter for the cable throws to work. Disconnect the cable from the shifter and manually put the shifter into 5th or 6th and then see where the cable is for the shifter. Ushouldnt have any issues getting into gears

Yes it will! Just need to reverse the mechanism of the up and down cable on the c60

how much did you pay to k swap? my 1zz block is over and it cost more than the car to even do it

Hmm depends. I would say at least 6 grand if u do it yourself. U really don’t wanna cheap out on any parts at all Bc then you’ll just have an unreliable car again. Realistically it’ll cost 8 grand all said and done. Yes you can do it for cheaper but it’ll be all used parts

Hi bro, need your advice on what clutch cable that you use for your mrs zzw30 with Hybrid racing shifter with k20 integra dc5 6 speed gearbox. I'm currently using hybrid racing v3 shifter with K-tuned race shifter cable but the shifting requires quite a bit of efford shift gear, just wondering how to reduce force required to shift gear.
