I tried installing Business Central 2024 wave 1 on-premises, the server instance seems to be running normally but the web client doesn't work. When I open it i get the error "Something went wrong" and in the event viewer i get this error: System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException: The input stream is not a valid binary format. What i did wrong? Did I miss something?

Hi Saurav! When I install Business Central on a Windows server, as you showed in your video, I encounter a problem: In BC, the work date is always one or two years later. Do you have a solution? This is the error: In the current company the date you've entered is outside the allowed interval (this is determined by the filter '??11*|??12*|??01*|??02*', which is defined by the license file). Hello @telchat8118, thanks for your comment! What date you are entering and what license you are using (Demo / Customer / Partner License)? You can change the work date from the setting options in business central top ribbon on right.

@@sauravdhyani Hello! Thank you for your quick reply. I selected the developer option during installation and installed BC. I changed the work date in the my settings options in the top right menu bar of Business Central, but it resets after a few minutes. Thank you very much.

@@telchat8118 The work date remains same till you re login the environment. if you want to set it to current date always, you can create a new company. In the demo company it will always be set as future date.

Hello. the video was very informative however, in my installation, the IIS prerequisites for Web Server Components could not be done even with the proper IIS dependency settings. My approach was to first install the other components then run the setup again and add the web server components but its telling me Not all required dependencies for Web Server Components have been detected. Could it be my OS? im running windows 10

I followed the exact steps you mentioned, but I got the following error message about web server component IIS prerequisites for Web Server Components An error has occurred while trying to install required dependencies for Web Server components. For more information about the error, see the %TMP%\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.WebClient.DependencyInstaller.log file.

Hello @devashishink, thanks for your comment! First check what is your Operating System Version. The Windows Version Supported - Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education (64-bit edition, version 22H2 and later.) Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, or Education (64-bit edition, versions 22H2 and 21H2) Windows Server 2022 (Datacenter, Standard) Search on your windows - System information. The First parameter OS Name will tell what your Edition is.
