Installing Edius 11 part 1: Download And Setup

Hi David, As always great video. Just purchased the jump version workgroup from Edius x. Edius 11 i'm finding to be extremely slow even on a quarter.res. I have been using Edius or canopus since 2006, this version baffles me. Any ideas Thanks Dave

Was EDIUS X working ok? EDIUS 11 is practically the same with a new bin. Loading clips is definitely slow - when I drag a folder from explorer into the bin, for example. But editing for me has been pretty much the same. I just uploaded a second video which talks about adding exceptions into the firewall etc and some of that might help.

There should only be a watermark in the trial version. Once you have paid for it there wont be one.

If you mean you are getting a message saying you need AVX2 to be able to install EDIUS 11 I am afraid the only solution is to upgrade the computer to a system that has the AVX2 instruction set in the processor - which is pretty much any modern processor. The have all had AVX2 for several years.

@@dvcltd yes sir it's a problme i don't have avx2 in my pc i using now a eduis 8.53 and it's ok there is no much diffrent between 11 and 8.53

Greetings! I had to get Google to translate I am afraid. If you are happy with EDIUS X then you can stay with it. The most useful new things in EDIUS 11 for me are adjustment layers, Accousitca, VisTitle and the new filters. We have yet to see what benefits re-organising the bin will bring so look out for future updates.
