Installing EVERY UPGRAGE on my Rlarrlo 917

Rlarrlo sent us every upgrage for out 917 RC speed bash car. In thins episode of 10th Scale Garage, we'll take it out in it's stock formation and give it a speed run before we upgrade the gearing, suspension, radio, aero, wheels and tires and put on all kinds of aluminum and carbon fiber upgrades. do you think we have what it takes to win the speed challenge?

This isn't your fault but there are many who have paid for their rc kits and RC parts from rlaarlo over a month ago. And many of us didn't get anything yet. I'm waiting on over $100 worth of parts from rlaarlo which i paid for over a month ago for my rlaarlo. It's nice to see that you guys got it but we eat crow while we wait, with no reply or communication from rlaarlo

@@10thScaleGarage Its really bad and worlwide, my cf chassis just arrived finally BUT , the bag of parts on same tracking number /order are not in there and no mention of partial order on ticket, just fulfilled which it certainly isnt.Love the channel !

It seems that your front end is very high. Lower it low as possible without major scraping on the body. Keep the rear springs stiff as possible because if it squats to much with the front end that high it will flip around 70 mph.

It is, we still have to make some adjustments with that, the suspension is already set as low as it can be, I believe we need to get some thinner oil and just allow it to collapse some. They are ultra stiff.

Did you even show the installing of the front bearing hubs, it's aluminum on your's. I just caught a front wheel wobble, and it looks like the OEM plastic hub isn't holding the bearing tight anymore. I must have hit a rock, on day 2 of my brand new 917 RLAARLO breaking in period ! Now I've had to order the CNC Aluminum hubs $21, and new bearings $10, and shims to fix it. I was hoping to see a tutorial, but it's easy enough.

Hi I've just watch your video its alsome nice speed. Im just asking which gearing and setup you running in the 917. I was thinking in mine 3650 2300kv motor and 120a esc plus 52 spur and 50t pinion on the gearing what do you think also which pitch is the stock spur 48dp or 64dp. Was thinking of putting in the 5mm shaft motor and 32dp spur and pinion let me know thanks 😊

Gotta love they makes these toys. Then take off all the good parts and sell you them later as “upgrades”. And how is a metal arm on a on road car a upgrade?

Depends on how you plan on using the car. If you’re going for speed runs, it’s good to have rigid parts that have a tight tolerance. If you’re building a Basher, I don’t recommend aluminum parts as they don’t bend…. They just transfer the impact to a different (usually more expensive and harder to replace) part of the chassis. You can make the argument that lighter= faster, but for this build, we thought it would look cool (lolz) and help stiffen the chassis. I wish I could translate to camera just how solid this chassis feels. It’s pretty awesome.

It's a AK 917 NOT any 918 ? This car was scaled from the 1970 24 hour Le Mans winners car from Porsche's AK 917. Please edit your videos.
