Ok, I would like to say this. The oil you use in her hair/scalp could be causing the problem, if not it could be the braiding hair. Braiding hair has a lot of harsh chemicals in them. For an alternative I would clarify her hair use a different oil (just one like avocado, jojoba or pumpkin seed oil and make sure she does not have a sensitivity and them), mix the oil with aloe vera and then I would braid/twist her hair with YARN. Yarn is very gentle on the hair with no added chemicals. So her hair can grow and be healthy. 😃
