Installing Front Final Drive Assemblies on the Yanmar!

In this episode I will be reinstalling the front final drive assemblies on the Yanmar 2610-D. Hopefully things will go as planned, but you never know when you are working with 40 year old equipment.
Installing final drives on most 4wd tractors should be very similar to this if you are looking for some information on how it is done. There may be slight differences in how the steering controls are set up. Join me on this adventure to see if we can get her steering once again!

Thank you Sir! Checked out your channel and gotta say I like the Stags too. A buddy of mine in high school had a convertible that we did a light resto on and got running again. After we fixed it, his dad drove it and said it was to dangerous for a 16 year old and sold it. Wish I could find one here in good enough shape to save. Most here are to far gone or already been resotred.

Just bought a 91 Yanmar 336D with the front axle run dry and locked up. Actually the wheels turn fine but the driveshaft is frozen, so I think it's a real mess inside. Not really sure what to do.

Hello Robert, hoyetractor.com sells service manuals for the little yanmars and carries most of the parts needed to rebuild one. I would personally start with the final drive assemblies taking caution to note any shims that come out and their orientation as you go working your way in to the differential. Hopefully you have a bearing problem rather than gears or shafts as they get expensive. I am happy to talk with you via email at [e-mail] and trade numbers via email if you would like.

@@nextlifegarage212 Thank you for your reply. I think it is more than the bearing. I can turn either wheel and nothing else turns so there are at least a couple gear sets that have either been ground up or sheared their keyways if they have them.
