More like porsch-eh Edit: I forgot earlier, but a good intake will actually change how your car sounds. You should do some research and find an intake for it. Hey Adam just a tip when you’re removing and installing center lock wheels you shouldn’t use the e-brake to hold the wheel. It can damage the electric motor. Turn on the car and have someone step on the brake. Love your vids 👍
@ifan32705 жыл бұрын
That electric motor is designed to hold the max gross weight of the vehicle..on an incline.. you're saying it can't hold up to a few seconds of loosening the center locks? Not to mention that the motor is probably only involved during the engagement and release of the e brake while fully engaged I bet it stays on some sort of hard lock like a car lift would be Probably just guessing and its different in reality somehow but would be odd that the mechanism can't handle undoing the wheels' fasteners

Adam you should come out to Tennessee to support the local drift scene, east10drift on may 4, for the FD ProAm championship series!
@poepeloerke25 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam. I have some important information so I hope you see this. I used to work in a Porsche dealership for 5 years so I got some experience with these cars. You should never forget to re-grease those centre-locks before putting the wheels back on. If you don't, there might be metal on metal contact when tightening the wheels (there should always be a thin film of HT-grease between the wheel and the centre-lock). Without the grease film on the nut, the torque might not be to spec. It's not like the wheels can fall off but tiny movements between the nut and the wheel will damage the surface of the wheels and once that happens, you got some expensive wheels to replace. Once in a while you should actually take apart the centre-lock to grease up the inside surfaces, but this is best done/showed by someone who has done it before cause you can't just put grease everywhere.

Skyline yea for whom ever drives into it lmao, I’m sure Adams has good insurance and likely claims his car parts has part of the value of the car

Your Porsche setup sounds better. Especially with the valve open. Has that perfect tone. Almost as good as my 7m haha jk

@@stormdrainstormdrain Well one is at 250K miles and the other is at 340K km's and both run great so... I'm not like 95% of the idiots that drive 7m cars and wait till the head gasket blows then call them shit. I take 20mins to pull the valve covers and retorque the head bolts to the correct specs.

@@mkIIIsupras same with my 5mge. Eventually I spun a bearing and rebuilt it all and used the 7m arp head studs, runs like new I'm sure it'll do another 263,000.

@@hansell317able Just got a mk2 last fall with a blown 5mge for $500. Only 85K miles on the chassis though so its pretty clean besides faded paint. That's to be expected with a 35 year old car. That car will be getting a 7mge swapped in also once I get my 1uzfe that is on the stand finished for one of my mk3's.

@@mkIIIsupras hell yeah man as long as there's no rust you're good. Sounds dope man I also want a 1uz for mine. Perfect daily car.

@@hansell317able My initial plan was to put the 1uz in the mk2, but decided against it being it pulls the trans forward about 50mm for the pan to clear the subframe. Which would require a new trans mount, custom length shaft made, and a mk3 supra shifter on top of the $1200 bellhousing/clutch kit. And get custom headers made to clear the steering shaft. None of that is required for the 1uz into mk3 swap so its much cheaper and easier to do. Just need the w58 bellhousing and clutch kit and a rear sump oil pan and it will fall right into the mk3. Gonna start recording my 3 supras and the projects I got going on here at the end of the month when I get a better camera. Give me a sub if your interested in any progress on the cars. I gave you a sub.
