So the new headers essentially eliminate the catalytic converter. You're also eliminating some O2 sensors and the exhaust servo unit. You must have to reflash the ECU??

I just purchased a new 2024 S1000XR after riding a R1200/1300GS for past 9 years. I noticed your frame sliders? on this video. Are these still available and what kind are they? I was looking at the R&G frame sliders but I am used to the crash bars on a GS so all of this is new to me riding a more street oriented sports bike. Any help or ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't plan to track this bike but I do ride aggressively here in western NC. Thanks

The OEM ones are now carbon fiber and are $$$$, but luckily the aftermarket has already come to the rescue with multiple offers from Wunderlich, Givi, SW-Motech, etc. A quick Google search should bring up these up so you can decide which version you like best, they should all offer excellent protection compared to pucks.

Hello, I put the catalyst eliminator on it, they are the double stainless steel pipes and I left the same pipe and the original exhaust. And it turned out that I was left with an acceleration lag. I put the ESE Healt Technics chip to eliminate the witness and they already mapped him at the BMW Motorrad Agency here in Monterrey and they did not find the solution. Could you advise me or help me to know if it is possible that it remains without failure? Best regards

I ve seen all your videos and cant figure out if on this video you run stock, rapidbike or brentuning ! Great job! I’ve done the same thing but on my single R. I have an install video for S1000R if anyone needs it, pretty much the exact same install. I used a servo buddy instead of removing the cables from the servo motor. Are you still using rapid bike for fueling? I currently have the easy installed but found an evo recently.

Removing the exhaust wires does that mean it will still allow motor to rotate and not throw a complaint up on dash but obviously exhaust is now always open

Thanks Stavros. I bought the headers, they were about 700 (USD), so not cheap, but it's probably the best performance modification you can make.

Standard pipes can be modified and a link pipe used. Sounds great too. By the way good idea with the fairing bolts in the cardboard 👍🏼

I didn't, I just take things apart and then try to figure out how it goes back together... 😅 do it long enough and you figure out a few things
