Hey Cuban, it's been awhile since you've posted, I just traded in my 765 RS in for a 2023 M Package S1000XR and I've gotta ask.... What mods would you recommend right off the bat for it?

Congrats man, badass bike. These bikes are pretty damn good from the factory, so sticky tires and have fun. If you start doing track days, then you'll probably want to upgrade the brake pads, fluid and maybe consider rearsets. For the street just do radiator protector and engine case protectors just in case.

Wonderful video of riding skills for sure! Do you miss that Duke? I've got a 19 MT09 and for some reason shopping around for the Duke 890R, the KTM SMT 890, or the BMW f900 XR.

Help! I did this, key went in and and out just fine until I slipped it back into the box. Now key won’t come out and it’s my only set 😬

Can you reach with the torque wrench to tighten the oil filter?

Never have, always hand tight. For added security you can install a clamp around the filter to prevent it from coming loose.

Awesome video as usual. Love the content and riding ability. My juicees are also flowing for an XR 1000. Anything you can say to talk me into or out of it? Lol. I guess my biggest question is, is it too much? I've always liked the underpowered motorcycles that you could really ride hard. Was wondering if the f900 XR would be a super step down or just as much fun. Anyways. Nice job on the dragon. I haven't been there in a while

Came from two Tuono V4s (cause they’re awesome) to a V4s sport. Something just clicked and I knew it was time for one of these machines. Never ridden a bike as much, as far having so much fun. It’s thee best bike I’ve ridden. Crazy fast, powerful, comfortable and can fill your topbox/panniers up and disappear. WHAT A MACHINE!

When putting a new lock in is there a top and bottom to install or is it just put it in and turn till it locks in ?

Not sure what you mean. Are you installing a new cylinder? The spring loaded wafer that holds the entire cylinder is place is just on one side, you don't turn it, you slide it in until it clicks in place.

Yellow plate means amateur / novice. Likely not a number one plate holder, unless it’s someone else’s bike.

Careful with the HF oil filters or any filter that has that nut on the end. Most race orgs and trackday will not allow them as they break off and leak oil everywhere. For 15 years of racing, I've just run a hose clamp with safety wire over the oil filter and run the safety wire to a bolt to make sure it doesn't move. Some bikes like the ZX10R you can rest the hose clamp against a tab that is on the engine and the oil filter cannot turn until it's removed.

Sir , we have brand new pavement and its AWESOME! Id love to ride with you sometime, not fast, just an old man having fun! Personally the skyway is my favorite ! Not as many turns but it will make you realize those long sweeping turns and the less traffic will make you smile and grin! I enjoy yr videos but i refuse to even hear or be around Maxi Pad because hes only brought less tallented riders up on the hill to drawn them in to ride over there heads and then he makes money off them crashing. Next time yr in town just ask about Will Rays dad! you may not remember but over 6 years ago Will and i was up there and you were not hurting anyone to get footage for yr channel."Getting schooled on the Dragon by a 16 yr old!

Phenomenal news and of course I remember! Those were some good times, I have Will on Instagram and he's come a long way from that kid I met back then. We're planning to move closer to the area in the next couple of months, so I'm looking forward to link up for a ride. 🤘

Ebay, it's just a one piece. Look for S1000XR carbon fiber tail fairing. They're expensive but I think I found one cheap.

Can I just open the air box? Will it help while I get more courage for the jet kit later?

You might pick up a couple of horsepower, but it will throw off the air/fuel ratio and make the bike run lean which is not healthy in the long term.

I'm curious how well you can wheelie in Dynamic mode?

It won't let you power wheelie (most of the time), but sometimes you can still clutch it up.
