Installing Holosun 507k on Hellcat Pro

The holosun and Springfield armory hellcat pro have different optics footprints. That means you will need to install it with an adapter plate. It’s pretty simple to do yourself. Here’s the plate you will need from Amazon. It is an affiliate link.

looks good, ive got a 407k and 507c. i recommend marking the screws with a paint marker or something to make sure they don't wiggle loose on you. i didn't notice it happen to me until it was about ready to fly off. i added a drop of loctite and haven't had a problem since. the marked screws remove my anxiety about it happening again.

That’s a great tip, I’ve heard that mentioned before but never done it. The adapter plate screws do come with loctite, but would probably be wise to add a touch more.

Why didnt you use a torque screwdriver to set the screws at like 15lbs? Ive seen that done on other videos , do you think a torque screwdriver is necessary?

Yeah, I would recommend lock tight and a torque screwdriver. Not sure what the specs are for it. I didn’t put this on permanently. I was borrowing from a buddy until my optic came in the mail. Also I don’t have a torque set for this small of screws 🤦🏼‍♂️

@1ModernDayDad ya I don't have a torque screwdriver so I was curious, I know some guys just go tight on the screws and then turn additional 1/8 or 1/4 and they say it works fine

@1ModernDayDad I just got my new Hellcat Pro Comp OSP 2 weeks ago and ordered the DPP Titanium adapter plate to install my Holosun 507k. The screws that came with the plate are to short? I can only get maybe 2 threads to catch? Could you possibly give me the length and specs on the screws that came with your mounting plate? Thank You!

with the adapter plate, can you still line up your iron sights if the Holosun fails? That's the only thing concerning me about mounting one on my HC pro.

Yeah, it’s just at the very bottom of the red dot. So it doesn’t co witness, but if the red dot fails you can still use the irons.

If I use a Vortex Defender CCW, can it sit flush on the slide? Are the locking lugs on the Hellcat large enough? They look small.

On my Hellcat Pro the back right screw hole appears to have a spring at the bottom of the hole? Not sure I want to screw a screw in there and damage the spring? Not sure it I will get an answer here?

yeah im wondering this too because im bout to get my hellcat soon and i want to know bout that spring and stuff i bought the mounting plate and soon buy the holosun....no other video has talkef about that spring

Interesting. I do remember seeing that, but didn’t have any issues when putting the optic screws in there. So, I’m no gunsmith but mine worked flawlessly with the optic in place. 🤷🏼

Was your sight a little loose when installing? Mine is wobbly and I screwed in the screws all the way

It’s the same plate. You’re right though, it looks a little different on Amazon. But that is the one I bought.

@@1ModernDayDad I want my plate to have solid holes with no cutouts. They are advertising a plate that looks nothing like your plate. Your plate looks like the DPP plate.

The trl-7a and 7x are the same light dimensionally just the x has a dual fuel system but it is smaller than the sub but a tad wider also.
