Also where did you get the holes that goes from the bottom to the intake ? My air intake came with a holes but I lost it 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes pop out the insert for fog lights. Take battery out. Disconnect the Mass airflow sensor. You unclamp stock hose from throttle body. Take top off the air box. Completely remove air flow box reinstalling ground wire with screws from original box. The other screw mounts the bracket for the intake. Install new intake install battery. Then install filter through inlet where fig light insert was. It's like I've done this same intake a few times.

Hey 2zz! Just a quick tip for the injen intake: you can take the two bolts from the bottom of the bumper. (The front side of the fender liner. NOT from the wheel side but under the fog lights) and attach the filter last. Thats the way i do it for my smogs!

Great step-by-step! Does California perform a different emissions test than other states? I have an 05 XRS and live in Colorado, and I'm wondering if I will need to swap the stock intake back in when I get my car tested every 2 years. Do you know?

You sure it’s not the throttle body? These xrs models have that high idle issue due to the throttle body

I seen the video you did on that, and it’s not the issue. I think the mass airflow sensor keeps getting hot, but I don’t know what to do about that. Maybe put some scoops in the hood?
