Well, tomorrow we're adding a new(new to us) Mopar to the family. We have a '11 Charger RT Plus, '13 Charger Daytona, and tomorrow we pick up our '20 Challenger Scat Pack....it's like the day before my birthday and Christmas eve all in 1.....lol. Anyway, we have the same cloth seats, and I've already been looking for Katzkin leather covers, so your video was the spot on for some of the info needed for this.....and, thank you for being a normal person with a channel about the car(s).....some of the others out there are just too much ti try to watch, or they just want to post burnouts, and street racing in 'mexico'.....ya got a new subscriber!👍

@moparlifescatpack Well, this will make Mopar #6 at our house.....I think at this point t it's becoming an addiction....?....🤔....eh, there's far worse addictions out there. We have an '01 ram 1500, '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and '07 Wrangler. On the hood of the Scat, are all 3 vents functional? I mean, ours are all open on the bottom side of the hood, it looks like it's supposed to be that way, but just wanted to check. I don't plan on the car being out in the rain much, but sometimes ya just get caught in it.....does rain get in the vents, or cause problems if it does?

Yes all 3 vents are functional. They do lead to the engine bay and water will get in there. That’s one of the reasons I didn’t go with an open air filter so I don’t risk getting it wet. Plus the consensus seems to be the most effective CAI is the Hellcat one and its a closed box that feeds from the front and bottom so you’re not getting hot engine bay air in there. I don’t drive mine in the rain but when I wash it water does seep in through the hood vents but it wipes up quickly. The engines make alot of heat so Im sure the hood vents are helping with that!

I've been watching a lot of videos with the hellcat lower air box and tube for the air duct light....really can't go wrong, about $150 for the box w/tube, and a K&N washable drop in filter. Thanks for the response again!

It's pretty disappointing in katskin that you have to cut so many holes, and they don't utilize factory mounting system.

The cutting was probably the most nerve wracking part. Really didn’t want to ruin my fancy new seats. 😬

The die process fir making the holes is expensive to pass on and, each seat fitment in this case (not an assy line) is just enough different to possibly have issues. No clios but, i think they're Mopar specific but, either hog rings or zip ties (I like that better) isn't a hard corner to turn. Id recommend marking your head rest hole position, then using gasket punches to cut out the round holes, nice and neat, precision cuts. 😊

I designed them how I wanted them. Worked with the seller and he showed me the end design layout before having them made. I used eBay seller ‘sealeddeals’ He was awesome!

The way I understand it Katzkin itself doesn’t have a partnership per se anymore with Mopar to offer the logos on their website so to get the logo it has to be ordered through a Mopar dealer or something like that. If you get Katzkin leathers from the company it comes with a Katzkin tag. If you get it through Mopar it comes with a Mopar tag (with Katzkin smaller underneath the Mopar) like mine. I ordered mine through an eBay seller called sealeddeals. He guided me through setting them up exactly how I wanted because the colors, textures, and layouts are endless. I designed my layout with his help and requested the logos in the seat backs. He sent me a proof to confirm then I purchased them through sealeddeals. Customer service was excellent and he was very patient with all my questions. I got them in just under 3 weeks.

Hey man what did you use to re bolt the seat back into the car? And did you have any issues with the seats rattling or slightly moving? Looking to do the same to my seats but need some more advice on it thanks.

Seats go back in with the factory bolts. Tighten them down and no rattling. I can’t remember if they are all four the same length but make sure if not you are using the front ones for the front and back ones for the back.

I’m not positive but I remember reading on a Facebook page not too long ago that someone had tried to order just the fronts and that wasn’t an option but that’s just what I heard.

I’ve seen people do it without taking the original seat covers off.

With these seat covers you must replace the originals. They won’t fit over another seat cover.

Hey I have a quick question….do you think seat covers for challngers can fit chargers?? Im only asking because they both have the 60/40 split with armrest…..I seen some leather scatpack seat covers that look NICE by Leather Seat Pros but they only come in the challenger variant.

Im really not sure. I don’t know if they are the same seat set up or not but you could probably reach out to seat pro and confirm before committing. I know just with the Challenger there is more than one seat type for the front seats so have to make sure to get the right one.

Katzkin has three shades of red (Cardinal, Red, and Salsa). Mine are Red and the stitching is also red.

If you’re talking about the metal rod I used some long needle nose pliers to work it into place. Pain in the rear but doable.
