Is there an advantage to using these over the OEM you took off?

Yes, These will not get stuck or seized up. Also, the vacuum system is no longer being used to lock them, so it eliminates vacuum leaks

I just want to verify that this eliminates the ability to use the knob on the dash. I have a 05 with the 6.0 with oem hubs and my knob does not appear to lock 4x4. If I were to get these MM hubs the know would become useless? Thanks

@@mattb.9572 No. The dash knob still shifts the transfer case. If you think you might need 4x4, you just go ahead and locks your hubs just in case..

Is there a reason you didn't apply any grease at any point during the installation??

They dont need any grease

Did you install the inner snap ring on the axle shaft? The one just to the outside of the hub nut conversion kit pats. Then I see there is another snap ring on the outside end of the axle too.

There are 2 different locking rings that go into the hubs. They come in the box, and the instructions are pretty clear on them actually
