You have the water going in to the filter hooked on at the outlet side and water coming out of filter hooked to the inlet. Think about it, that is backwards.

I have a water dispenser that makes my water cold or hot, I cant imagine filling up a 5 gallon container with that small flow coming out of the unit!

no dual hose needed. just the john guest adapter kit and the hoses that come with the K8
