If you have the time make sure to put some touch up paint on those holes. Water/moisture will get in the bare metal and cause rust causing the paint around it to peel off.

I noticed the little rubber pieces you put down before the spoiler had a 3rd hole option towards the middle of the trunk. Did you end up drilling that hole by any chance or just used the two on the outside? I'm currently installing a spoiler is why I ask

The trunk of the lancers are all the same, so they all have the same position of the spoiler.

Hi, you may not answer bc the video is old but did the two bolts were enough to hold the spoiler for all the years and didn’t moved at higher speeds. I live in Germany so I mean +130mph with higher speeds. 😁 And is the third hole unnecessary or is why did you didn’t drill it? Greetings

Thanks for your question. Yes the two bolts were enough I haven’t had an issue. The fastest I travel at is around 90. And I didn’t make the third hole, didn’t think it was necessary.

I might add the third hole, because the Tüv (the Organization which inspects all vehicles here, including when I change stuff like spoilers) might have a problem with that. So I better add that. Hey bro, been watching you for a while, great videos as always. Had a question for you. When you bought the spoiler from the link you gave us, you got it painted right? Is it still going strong after 2 years?

Ashon yeah bro I had it painted and I haven’t had any problem with the paint peeling. The paint shop I went to however did not paint the inside of the wing black like I had told them and like I had paid for I didn’t realize until after that it wasn’t actually painted and it led to cracking in some areas so I’d recommend having everything painted or just try to find an oem evo x spoiler

Dude! I just watched this video, have you had any issues with the spoiler? I am going to purchase it right now!

There was cracking on the bottom where it stays black because it wasn’t painted. I had it painted by maaco and they told me they painted the bottom black but they didn’t I found out after it was cracked. So just make sure the entire spoiler is painted and you should be fine.
