nice man I've been debating on doing this. How's your basemap holding up after 6 months or did you end up road/dyno tuning it?

Do it! I'd look harder for an OEM one, it's worth it though. But it bothers me that the the trunk clips aren't separate and the underside of the spoiler isn't the oem textured plastic. Plus I think the OEM Evo x wing has some sort of metal reinforcement in it. But that being said I'd still rather have my rep one than the stock Ralliart spoiler.

Basemap is fine! I actually moved up to the turbo back exhaust one now that I'm on a test pipe and an HKS hipower catback. Got even faster. 😂 Never had a single issue with the GST maps.

Thanks for the update, guess I oughta drop the $$$ for a tactrix cable and the boost pill then. How big was the difference on the butt dyno from the tune switch to turbo back, it's tax season after all. ;)

@@DWinzZz where you located? Check "RA Revolution" on Facebook to see if someone close to you has a cable and would lend it to you! It felt WAY faster. But I think the boost pill did the most jump in power I was just thrown back because my car went from dead silent to screaming haha. The exhaust definitely helped the top end a ton.

@@trevorplagg7094 Ended up buying one my buddies got and X and wanted to borrow it too it was cheap enough yeah the tune + boost pill helps a lot in power upgraded the recirc valve as well, thanks for the heads up on the forum will check it out I'm out in CO right now glad someones making good videos for the RA made me want to go further with my car!

What size are the bolts you used?

Not sure! When I got it it came with two so I just went to the hardware store and got two more of the same size, but slightly longer. Had to swap them out for stainless because they where showing rust after winter so don't make that mistake haha.

Do you have to paint the under side black or could I just leave it as is?

Oem ones are black on the underside so I was mimicking that. It looks very cheap if you don't

@@trevorplagg7094 how’d you paint the underside black without getting it on the rest? I’ve got a ralliart that I bought with an evo wing but the whole thing was blue. I want that black underside so it doesn’t look as tacky

@@toughie2722 1. Paint entire wing silver, let that cure. 2. Tape off the bottom section you want black, cover the rest. 3. Paint black section, remove masking, let that cure. 4. Clear coat entire spoiler, multiple coats.

Any obvious differences with a oem vs replica spoiler?

Finish is definitely way worse. Mine looks pretty good after body work though. Ie, there's a seam from molding that goes around from and back. The biggest give away is that the black underside is the same molded piece as the top painted side. OEM is mulitple parts, with a plastic bit on the underside that's bolted on I believe.

@@trevorplagg7094 oh really, never knew that they were multiple pieces. They are seriously expensive for what they are. Definitely have to jump on a deal if I see one that's OEM.

Think of it like a 4 stage paint job. 1) primer entire wing 2) paint entire wing silver. You want to do silver first, because black will cover it easily - silver over black would take a lot more coats. 3) wait for silver to dry to handle, then do your masking, and paint just the desired part black. 4) remove your masking and clear over the entire wing - sealing both colors beneath the protection layer .
