Installing OctoPrint on a windows mini pc to monitor my 3d printer as an alternative to a raspberry pi.

How to install on Intel Mini Stick with 32GB EMC? When after installing JAVA, Python and OCOTO there is only 7,5GB disk space for Viuiasual Studio?

Yep, that gets pretty tight as windows alone will take most of that space. You can try to uninstall any unnecessary programs and turn off any unnecessary features from the control panel to free up some space, but you may have to use a USB hub and plug in a flash/external drive and install everything on it (though it will be slower) if that's the only computer you have available.

I'm confused... I just want to be able to send prints from bambu to my creality k1. I'm told I need to set up a octoprint server. Does that mean I need a whole other pc just to host a server?

You shouldn't need to. The k1 should have something similar already installed on it that you can access once it's connected to your network. I don't have either, so that would be a good question to ask Creality.

got a m8 trying this and he cannot connect, what did u enter in octoprint settings serial port as he can only choose auto, com1 or com5, no matter what he sets he cant connect via his browser

It depends on which port he has the USB cable from the printer plugged into his computer. If only connected to one printer, choose auto and it will automatically find and select the port connected. If this fails, he may need to try a different port on the computer or a different USB cable.

I have not tried it, but yes, you would have to install multiple instances of OctoPrint and configure each one with its own directory and port. You'll need to do some digging in the OctoPrint community. You can also run multiple instances on the raspberry pi, just keep in mind for both, the more instances installed, the more resources needed.

Better because it was originally designed to run on Linux, typically on a raspberry pi. There is now a windows installer available and other options on the OctoPrint website.
