Installing Off Door Jeep Mirrors in Grab Handles

It's required by law to have a side mirror on your vehicle for better highway vision. However, part of the fun of a jeep is to remove the doors along with the top. When you do that, you lose your mirrors. There are various mirror options that work in the door hinges, but we wanted something a little more quick release and attach. After looking at many different ones we settled on these. The mount installs into the grab handles making it easy to attach and remove the mirrors when the doors are removed. We purchased these mirrors ourselves and are not in any way affiliated with the company or Amazon.

I guess I never paid attention to notice that the mirros come off with the doors, LOL. Now I'm going to notice it on every Jeep I see. The little ball mount is a really nice touch.

Yeah. They’re the same as any other vehicle when it comes to the mirrors being attached to the doors. But when you see them with doors off and they have mirrors, they’re probably attached at the side of the hood or in the door hinge peg hole. I like that we could use the grab handles.

Pretty cool mirrors and attachments. Got to be legal when your jeep is partially undressed! LOL. I hope they work well for you. I am with you on not trusting my phone in that attachment especially with doors off going off road. Take care and have a great day.

I didn't realize youd lose the mirror with the doors off. Great solution and nice they can be mounted horizontal or vertical.

Yup the jeep is pretty much same as other vehicles in the way the mirrors are attached to the doors. A lot of people will buy mirrors that attach to hinge pin holes. But I prefer the quick release having them attached to the grab bars.

I didnt know there is a rule that requires a mirror on the Grab Handles. I think it is weird, because if it is required, wouldnt it be required for the manufacturer to have it installed? LOL. Learned something new. LIKE 4. 👍👍👍

No it’s a law to have mirrors even if your doors are removed. We chose to add them to our grab handles and not the door hinge area after taking the doors off.

Hmm, I wonder what the non clean version of the name of the handle is. It seems odd that Jeep would build the Gladiator that the doors come off but then you cant drive until you install after market mirrors. And having to put them on each time you take the doors off is just a chore.

It is a chore. Wrangler jeeps are the same way. We all have to purchase something aftermarket to stay legal. I'm not positive if it's the same in all states, but it probably is.

Here in Ohio we don't need them so it's not as much of a chore leaking everthing off. Now that I got the hoist for my Gladiator hard top it's even quicker
