In the future I would like see a test added where you test mirror vibration at like 30mph and 60mph. In the past I have bought mirrors that appeared to work well, but as soon as the Jeep started moving the vibrated so badly they were useless at any speed greater than zero. Thanks!

I have had many of those cheap mirrors. The thing that annoyed me is that they would move or fold in on the road when driving fast. I finally am set with the kikbax mirrors. They don’t move, even at 75mph. Bonus, they have a foot rest.

Hands down the CMM are the best mirrors, while they are more expensive but you really get what you pay for. I’m surprised you didn’t review theirs in this video. They are very well known in the Jeep Community and were at Jeep Beach too.

I use a pair of UTV bar clamp mirrors with my Mopar Tube Door knockoffs. Mounted directly to the tube door. One less item to install and uninstall when swapping doors.

The best doors off mirrors that I ever had for my Jeep and still do for my JK were made by Just Add Mud Off Road (out of business). They just slide in to the top hinge and have a strong neodymium magnet that holds it to the door frame... No nuts, no wrenches.... Quite literally just put them on and go. Steinjager also sold mirrors like these.

I have the Joytutus that mount to the handle on my Gladiator. I have been super happy with them. Also, I turn on my rear view camera and it gives you a ton of visibility without side mirrors

If you have to run a tube door a great option are sxs mirrors. They clamp onto the tube and work great

I really liked the grab handle mirror you showed on this video, but have a '24 JLU. I found an Amazon version that is supposed to work for the '24, but it only works (sort of) on the top position and I wanted to run my mirrors off of the bottom of the grab handle. It was also pretty ugly. I ended up creating my own baseplate that fits in either the top or bottom of the grab handle and a mirror mount so I can run the original cheapo mirror mounted to a 12mm aluminum tube in either position. It's a lot like the CMM mirrors, but less bulky and I designed the mirror bracket so I can remove the mirrors with a thumb screw (no tools) and leave the rest in place. The baseplate also accepts RAM two bolt mounts so I can mount my phone on whatever position I don't have a mirror.

I had a set very similar to the second set you tested. They were a HUGE pain. Set up on the driver was easy. Mount them, adjust and snug it down. The passenger was time consuming. Install, go to the driver seat, get back out and re-adjust, sit back down, check out the angle..lather, rinse repeat. I didn’t trust moving just the heads because the nylon that hold the swivel ball seemed very brittle. I didn’t want to risk snapping that. Functionality, I’d give them a 2. They kept me legal and gave me a decent view backing out, BUT once you hit road speeds it was like Michael J Fox was holding them. You couldn’t see a thing because of the vibration. They also sat lower and more inward than the factory mirrors so it took some getting used to their location. After doing a lot of research, reading reviews, checking out videos and all that jazz, I bit the bullet and CMM mirrors at their trailer at Jeep Beach. More than I wanted to pay, but I doubt I’ll be replacing them. Solid piece of equipment.

We got a set of mirrors that go on the handles and can take them off/on whenever we want with just a thumb screw. And we had the ones you put on windshield pins and didn't like how much time we had to spend putting them on and off.

I read a review that said the joytutus mirrors can just fold up against the hood when you're not using them, I ordered a set after reading that.

I have a set very similar to the hinge mount you tested but my top and doors are off for the season and I have to take them off every time at work if there’s rain to put on my cab cover… I will be looking into those pillar mount mirrors as they seem to not stick out very far! I've tried the cheap Amazon mirrors on my TJ and they fold in when a bigger vehicle drives past you in the opposite direction, causing a wind gust. It stripped out the textured surface on the adjustment, so now it won't stay put. I went with the CMM mirrors on my JL. Expensive, but they are great quality. Of the options in the video, I'd try those CMM knockoffs if I had to find mirrors on a budget.

You should try the Kikbax!! A little pricey, but totally worth it!! No drill, no bolts, no nuts, very well designed, very well made, no vibration when driving (detail you didn’t tested) and the best feature you didn’t know you needed: the built in foot pegs!!

I own a set of CMM's that attach to the grab handle (similar to the ones in the video). Easy to store in my Gladiator and doesn't have anything to attach to the exterior. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I have a pair like the Denforste ones which I bought cheap on Amazon. They look like fun house mirrors when you look at them, but I don't care, I can still see if there is a vehicle on either side of me. In Jersey you have to have at least a mirror on the driver's side.

HAVE to do vibration test driving... I use the vent ones i got off Amazon. They are 2.5" and are as big as vent but low profile so you can switch the vent around when not in use

JKU mirror mounts on body easy mount into body 2016 very handy and easy installation use impact driver 5 min on both . I was never fan round mirrors. personally. personally.

I have the Lange Coyote Mirrors. I love them! I have never taken those off since I installed it. I trim my protection film to the shape of the bracket. I’m glad I take the bolt out when I store the mirrors after seeing Ryan’s rust. I am so OCD I label my bubblewrap bags driver and passenger so I don’t have to adjust them every time. 😁😂

Joytitus offers one on Amazon that uses the American flag head with the grab handle mount. I’m thinking of going that route. My sister-in-law runs the Kikbax that are a foot peg and mirror combo. Texas made and she loves them.

I have the hinge mirrors that I use on the Gladiator whenever I take the doors off and they are convenient and super easy to install. But there is one small problem with them. If I take the Gladiator on the highway the mirrors will start bending inwards and by the time I get off the highway the mirrors will be way out of my viewing position. They kind of look like mirrors but they don't actually do anything. I kind of view this kind of mirror as: If I get stopped by a cop then he'll know I have mirrors, even if they aren't doing anything.

Not cheap but I have them and they are great! I assume you’re referring to the ones that mount on the tube doors and obviously they only work with the Mopar tube doors which we see Ryan is running on his Jeep. Makes these mirrors a limited option for a lot of people though since a set of these doors is more expensive than most other brands. Four of them are around $1,500 right now. (I got mine used for a steal)

They do mount to the tube doors but also to the same bolts as the others in the video. Think they are like $400. Some people get them with the Jeep when they order the vehicle. Got mine for a steep discount because the owner never used them and sold the vehicle and forgot they had them in the garage.

I wish you would of done some passenger side from driver side field of view. Getting a good field if view from driver side looking to passenger side mirror usually is the downfall. I've had a lot of mirrors that the view is hard to get on passenger side and adding vibration to that even worst

I hate fisheye mirrors. Coyotes CCM Kikbaks all use the same style. I had an older Coyote that had a set screw instead of the knob. I really liked the mounting on the Coyotes. Absolutely hated the fisheye. Maybe the fisheye has improved. Also the mounting block kind of started to discolor and oxidize quite a bit after a couple years. Currently using the Joytutus. Mine mounts to the grab handle. Top or bottom. Tested to over highway speeds and it stays in place. Some vibration but manageable. Definitely the best option for me.

What about wind noise? I've got a couple of Amazon mirrors on my son's Jeep that whistle like crazy in the wind. It is what it is and we still use them but that would definitely be part of my grading scale.

I bought the pillar mirrors and never used them because i couldn't get them to actually fit. No installs of thay mirror anywhere that i could find. No directions in the box. I watched this video and I walked out to my garage saying "Im a big dumb idiot". Thanks for making me realize how to put them on and i didnt waste my money 😂

Love the video jus wish it was a year earlier before I bought my mirrors and the bolt on l bracket ones move a lot. Most of the ones I saw that bolt on the grab handle are over a $100 so I would have bought the ones you had for way cheaper.

This isnt available on Amazon, but the best doors off mirror for jeeps are the kikbax mirrors with footpegs. Tool-less installation, footpegs, sturdy quality, good looks. Only downsides are their size (storage) and price (~$80)

I have the cayote mirrors. Used them 2 years. 2 months on all together. One of them broke. Too expensive for $120. Hard to judge how far things are if you are not used to small convex mirrors. A car that is 4 feet from your tail, looks like it is half a block. The one that is a block away, it is hard to see what it is. I have a Gladiator. I purchased new ones. Finally I can see. Maybe you guys are expert no mirror drivers. I would say these could be dangerous for the average driver.
