INSTALLING OUR LOJ LSX TO CD009 TRANSMISSION ADAPTER - 350Z LS SWAP EP. 8

In this episode we install our LOJ Conversion LSX to CD009 transmission adapter and our LOJ shortened shifter linkage and mount. We use our original clutch and pressure plate from the old VQ35DE.

You should note in your video that you messed up by putting the dowels in the "A" slots on the flywheel and you had to move them to the "B" slots for a 350z clutch. I didnt even notice until I rewatched the video a few times and im now waiting on new dowel pins to arrive lol

should of put a thin layer of rtv on the oil pan gasket and bottom of rear main cover where it meets the oil pan so it wont leak

I used my B&M short shifter but you can use any 350z shifter.

What year and model did the clutch come from

The clutch is for a 2004 350z. I’m pretty sure you can use a 300zx and VQ35HR clutch as well but check with LOJ first.

Did you freeze or oil the bushing before you installed it? I’m trying to get mine to go in now and I’ve got like 1/4in to go and it will not budge no matter what I hit it with

I did not. I will be freezing it on the next engine build. I wish I had learned that trick before hand.

@@LogansGarage yeah same. I watched your video and then hit it in. And then about 10 mins later I learned if you freeze it, it makes it super easy.

@@LogansGarage it still wasn’t as easy as what everyone claimed for sure. About to install the power steering and fuel lines today. Holleys on back order so I’m at a stand still after the lines are done

U need to put it in the freezer over night install the bigger one first then once installed use heat to expand it and then place the second frozen one in the middle ... Omg it's hard to watch this guy work on this car

You are correct. Unfortunately I learned that trick after making the video. I will be trying it on the LS3 I am starting to build. Thanks for the input.
