Hey brother, i have a very low milage Chevy 350 short block but its got dished Pistons and I wanna swap them out for flat tops do you think i need to hone the cylinders for proper piston skirt to cylinder wall clearence?? A machine shop owner in Tampa said Fuck that shit but piston manufacturers said to hone it a few 1000th's Im going with Speed Pro hypers for standard bore 4.000" no over bore as it's maybe only got 1000 miles on it and shouldn't require machining

80+ foot lbs seems like alot for rod bolts. Are you sure it was foot pounds and not inch lbs or nm? Usually around 40-50flbs would seem more reasonable . Let me know either way because I'm going to be installing a set it my 5.3 soon . Keep up the good work man.

You know aint built any before when you expecting instructions to come with your new rod bearings 😂 jk bro, looking good! Got some real nice eye candy of parts there. Just something about a new, ready to install high performance rotating assembly that just makes everything else around you disappear. Its almost a shame to put in knowing you can't see any of it when it's done lol

These are just plug and play? A while back we did a Honda 4 cylinder. We had to take rods and pistons to machine Shop

Not plug and play...you'll have to get the right parts for your application...pistons come in many different bore sizes...and the rods come in different lengths and sizes
